- - Colonoscopies were dismissed as doctors left.
- - Dr. Angel Iglasius and Tony Milons have blood on their hands.
Patient has lymphatic involvement along with bladder/ rectal cancer. Cannot receive treatment from oncologist because v.a.
will not authorize.

Contacted fox news reporter and my 2 u.s. senators .
Waiting for test results determining recommended cancer treatments.
.I Have visual proof of an 18month lapse between scheduled colonoscopy which v.a. didn't fulfill and cancerous masses found!Inept and uncaring medical care responsible for his disease.
I would avoid them like plague! They are unaccountable for sub standard medical care for those that deserve it the most.
Dr. Angel iglasius and Tony milons have blood on their hands!
I guarantee Tony milons gets only the best care, not from 3rd world barely english speaking " physicians!" This is fulton county dirty politics rearing it's head yet again.Get decent insurance and avoid v.a. at all costs!
- Ignores necessary health procedures
Preferred solution: New staff. English speaking physicians and a ceo(presently Tony Milons) who is not a political puppet of Fulton county ga.!
User's recommendation: Stay away.. particularly if ypu are caucasian. This place will kill you!

Verified Reviewer |A nightmare
- - Long waits and transfers between centers.
- - Calls hung up or misrouted; extensions fail.
- - Staff lack policy knowledge and identification.
All veterans have experienced this at the Atlanta VA. When you call you wait for an hour than:
transferred to a call center in a different state
get hung up on
get transferred to the wrong number
get an answering service that is full
given extensions that do not work
When after months of getting a hold of a person they tell you to go back and start the circle again
Employees do not know policy's and procedures
employee's do not know the law
Employee's use Veterans medical record as a gossip column
Employee's have a complete lack of respect for veterans
A majority of employee's cannot form complete sentences
wrong medications sent out
medications thrown in the garbage
employee's will not identify themselves
Every transfer to a different department leads to a minimum of an hour wait time
a Complete lack of respect for the law and policy and procedure
employees will not answer questions
- No one knows what they are doing
Preferred solution: services i earned by serving my country
User's recommendation: White house complaint do not work well, ig might take your case if you are lucky. if you can get your service someplace else
This facility is straight TRASH
This facility needs to be closed down immediately. The personnel are horrible and only concerned about a paycheck. They have no concern for veterans and their health or health care
User's recommendation: Do not come here if you don't have to
Poor Servo
- - Spent over 2 hours on the phone and was hung up on repeatedly.
- - The senator Jon Ossoff's speech promised fixes but nothing was done.
Ive been on the phone, for over 2 hours with them. Only to be hung up on.
Not once, not twice, not a third time. Every time! Thought the senator Jon Ossoff, made a big speech, about how, he is going, to get things fixed. What a crock, of hot air, nothing done!
Ive left this debacle, moved my account, To the NC system.
Better care, they answer the phones, and get you in. To take care of you.
User's recommendation: Look for some place else for health care

Verified ReviewerPersonal Experience
- - Wait times are longer than normal with caller 32 and a 324-minute wait.
- - The reviewer urges a Medicare-style system to help veterans locally.
How many people died waiting for help? "We apologize but we are experiencing longer than normal wait times.
Please stay on the line and your call will be answered in the order it was received. You are caller 32. Your wait time is 324 minutes." Sorry VA, but this is not longer than normal.
Your failure to recognize that says it all. Trump couldn't fix you, the dummy now in the White House is not interested in fixing you, and you should be eliminated in favor of a medicare type system that allows veterans to get help locally without waiting for your bureaucratic community care.
- You wont be charged for medical care if you manage to get any
- Hard to get medical care
Preferred solution: Eliminate the VA in favor of medicare so veterans can get the help they need.
User's recommendation: STAY AWAY! Seek help elsewhere if you can.

Verified ReviewerPoor service, long waits.
- - The VA message shows a 324-minute wait and queue 32.
- - It questions deaths from waiting and calls for a Medicare-style local care system.

Verified Reviewer |Unable to get thru to department
- - Difficult to reach audiology; attempts span months.
- - Extensions change; calls go unanswered and numbers unclear.
I have tried multiple times over the last few months to get thru to the audiology department. I have been given extensions that do not work once tried.
I have used the operator who has forwarded me (somewhere) only to have the phone ring up to 30 times with no answer.
I keep hearing from an operator (once I get thru, have to really work to do) that extensions are being changed. Well, to what to?
Preferred solution: a phone system with extensions that work
User's recommendation: try very hard to not get pissed off when calling there

Verified ReviewerBeware of horrible Service
- - VA Medical Center Atlanta cancels or changes appointments without notification, and wait times exceed two hours.
- - The hospital should be investigated.
Beware of the service at the VA Medical Center in Atlanta! The service provided is horrible!
Appointments are cancel and/or changed without notification. Wait time to make appointments is more than 2 hours. Even before COVID 19 the provides where lazy and use bureaucracy to stale treatment or medication.
Never put the patients care as top priority. This Medical Hospital should be investigated before they kill a veteran.
Preferred solution: Take responsibility and treat Veterna medical conditions accordingly
User's recommendation: If you can go to another medical center take the drive its worth it
Very annoyed.
Spent 3 days and over 2 hours each day trying to get someone to answer the phones, this is obnoxious to have to wait and still get no answer.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution
User's recommendation: take a nerve pill before calling to get a answer with issues.
There is one (1) number to call the Atlanta VA Medical Center; 404 321-****. With that being the case, why is the phone not working? I attempted to call this number several times this morning.
- - Tried to call Atlanta VA for a CT scan appointment.
- - Line rang once and then went dead; no message.
- - User is frustrated by an unusable number.
When I attempted to call the Atlanta VA medical center to get an appointment for radiological appointment for a CT scan ordered by my doctor the number rang once and then nothing. How can such a busy telephone number not be in service?
Are the worker there oblivious that their lines are not working?
Couldn't there be at least a recording indicating the line is down temporarily and the issue is being worked? It is extremely frustrating for veterans like myself to not be able to use the telephone number I am supposed to use and have that number not working.
User's recommendation: None, just submit complaints to anyone who will listen as to the failure of VA to provide the services they are supposed to provide.
Good luck you'll need it
- - A 5-minute greeting precedes reaching an extension.
- - Hold times are 20 to 30 minutes and they disconnect you.
Phone system is a complete failure. You first have to listen to a 5 min greeting.
If you're lucky you have an extension to dial but they keep these almost top secret.
Then you wait on hold for say 20 to 30 min and they disconnect you. You can redial and wait another 30 min or just give up.
Worst VA ever!!!
I had a colonoscopy years back and felt it as did the person before me and after me. They Suck!!! Medicine probably out dated.
Atlanta VA Sucks
I'm a 71 yo 100% IU Viet Vet who lives in the N. Ga.
mountains. If given a choice between fighting traffic to Atlanta VA or dying, I'd prefer death.

Doctors Abuse Disabled Veterans
- - -Disabled veteran cites dissatisfaction with Decatur VA care.
- - -Care ended after Dr Priddy left; opioids denied.
- - -Doctors named: Ray, Madu, Effa, Saenger.
I am a disabled veteran and I am writing this letter to discuss recent events that have transpired with several gold team doctors at the Decatur hospital. I have been very dissatisfied with the services and medical treatment provided to me and constitutes a breach of my rights as a patient. Since 1997 I have always maintained a doctor within the VA and up until now I have appreciated the treatment received and been treated with respect. From 2004 to August 2016 most of my care was provided by Dr. Priddy, and I can certainly say he did an outstanding job. I liked him both as a professional and a person and he genuinely care about my wellbeing. This has come to a grinding halt since he left the VA for whatever reason.
After 15 years of Opioid use by a a few doctors have denied my medications for no reason. I am healthy and frequent the gym daily and have no history of any drug or alcohol related issues. Since my doctor left the VA a primary care doctor had to be switched. When I requested my medication I was ignored prompting me to walk-in to the hospital. I was asked to submit a urine drug screen which I did and was told I would receive my medication upon completion of my test. As of date I am still being denied medications by the doctors. Now a doctor has recommended I check into the VA hospital for a week while they bring in mental health. Sir I do not have any issues whatsoever and I am honestly floored at what these small group of doctors are doing.
The following doctors are involved.
Devashish Ray, MBBS, MS
April M.f. Madu 066175
Lemmy Nsor Effa License 41113
Michael Scott Saenger License 42417
See the letter submitted by the veteran click here.
- Provider of several years i had no issues at all
- Doctors who neglected my care
Preferred solution: DOCTORS WHO LISTEN AND WILL MAINTAIN MY MEDICATION I HAVE BEEN ON FOR YEARS
