Awful Service, Needs to be Heard

Called on Tuesday to schedule an appointment for replacing a headlight bulb. Because of their automated system I cant get in touch with anyone and arent contacted til Wednesday evening.

Set up appointment for Thursday 8:45 AM, told it should be 1-2 hours. Drop my car off, tell them I just want the bulb replaced, if they do that and the headlight still doesnt work then run diagnostics. Im told it could be anywhere between 10 minutes and a couple hours. I go to work.

I get a call an hour later saying I need a bulb, and I have like 4 other things that need fixing that they found by running diagnostics (I had a service 1 month ago in which these other things were replaced). Try to call back 6x to ask why I need all of those things and cant get through to anyone. Leave them a message saying go ahead and do everything because I cant keep calling to speak to people while at work. Get through to them at 2:30pm.

Told they had an update from the tech and it should be done by end of day. Have to spend $25 on an uber there at 4:45 because I had no ride at this point because it was taking so long. Get called at 4:50 to be told we dont have the bulb so we had to order it. It took them 8 hours to figure out they didnt have a headlight bulb.

I get there, they didnt do a single thing to my truck in 8 hours. I ask for the service supervisor, she comes out as smug as could be, acting like this is commonplace and that Im in the wrong for my concern. But, she does offer to make it right and have the mobile service team come to my work tomorrow to pop the headlight in. We schedule for 10am and I give them strict instructions to call me by 10 if it has to be at any other time than 10.

Nothing. Receive a text from the service tech at 1pm stating I assume Christel (the service manager) let you know already but I will be there between 1 and 2.

I was no longer at a place where my truck could be fixed in a lot and had to cancel. Awful experience, terrible service and attitudes and I have no idea why anyone would go to this Ford

Careless Service Tech

I brought in my 2019 Ford Fiesta because the air conditioning wasn't working they did a diagnostic and said that the entire system needed to be replaced and wanted 1915 dollars for the work. I then took my car to another shop for a second opinion and the problem with a disconnected cord from when a tech had done the cabin air filter we simply plugged the cord back into the sensor in the AC works again it was a $0 fix caused by an astro Ford technician.

Astro ford gouges service customers for parts

I had my 2006 freestyle repaired. I had called earlier about a price for parts needed to repair my vehicle before I brought it in.

Well, when I brought it in for repair the price for the same part I had called earlier had increased. I was given the run around and told that the price I was given over the phone was a discounted price. I later found from another local area ford dealership that the discounted price was List price!!! They are charging their service customers more for parts than those who come in for service.

I then found out from a friend who use to work for them that the parts manager takes the MSRP for a part and just adds whatever he feels like adding at the time. So I looked at my past service reciepts and checked the price of the parts with B.O. (other local dealership) and they were all higher than what should have been quoted.

After years of service with this dealership I will NEVER bring my car back to them. I wonder if the state attorney general should investigate their business practices.

I found a couple of dealer review sites on the web. Gonna post a review and get the word out.

I also sent in a sound off to the local paper about astro. I SHOULD talk to the general manager.


Be afraid. Be very afraid.

There is no one at the helm at Astrology Ford. They using magic 8 balls to fix vehicles and charging a ton of money for sub par work. Gotta get the word out about these guys.

I dealt with somebody named Joseph in the parts department but his manager needs a lesson on how to talk to people and deal with the public... very rude when he was stressed out about not getting a lunch...hey's not my fault.


I did a little checking. The state attorney general will investigate price fixing and gouging on a limited basis. Maybe I should giver them a call.


I wouldn't be so sure about that. I have had dealings with this dealership before.

Charged me about $100 over list price.

I found out after looking at my receipts and checking Google for prices on the part #. I didn't complain but I won't go back to those crooks again.

I don't think that the attorney general will investigate something like this.
