I have lived here less than one year and can not wait to get out. In that time, there has been leak in the ceiling above the shower and the ceiling started to fall apart & a flood throughout my entire apt because a drain backed up & ruined the floor. This was about 5:30 pm in the evening. Someone showed up at 9am the next morning to clean it up. The floor has never been fixed. I am a single person who is gone all day at work and a lot of weekends and my utility bill usually runs about 150.00 for a tiny studio which I pay 600.00 for...which is outrageous to begin with for a studio. Once, my utility bill was 180.00, see, you will be paying your utilities to the apartment complex with your rent, how convenient for them. The utilities are divided equally amongst all apartments so I am basically paying for everyone else's utilities too and I am sure the utilities of the office, clubhouse, etc. You can hear every footstep the people above you are taking & when you complain about noise, nothing gets done. The floors are extremely creaky. Also, I have had issues with my bathtub draining and the toilet flushing. Good luck finding a parking place if you get home after 9pm. Also, very intrusive with constant "maintenance" checks & pest control. After one particular "maintenance check", there were still bulbs out in the fixtures and the fire alarm continued to beep...they are wired into the ceiling, not just battery operated... so its not just a matter of changing the battery. Also, some of these entry notices are put on my door the night before, after I've gotten home from work so I find it when I am walking out the door the next morning so essentially, there is no notice. One day I got home from work and the master lock had been left on my door and I was locked out of my apartment because they "forgot" to change it back after doing God knows what in my apartment...I will tell you what they weren't doing...changing the bulbs in the light fixtures or fixing a beeping fire alarm. Also, there is a "frontage road" that you have to take to get out of here so it takes like 10 minutes just to get to the main road due to the stop lights. And there are no sidewalks anywhere near by to leave your door and go for "a walk or walk your dog. It is a "sketchy" area. Don't waste your freaking money. You will regret it. It is an absolute joke. #Moneypit

ASPEN LOFTS IS A FRAUD. Worst "apartments" ever!
Do not be fooled by the advertising pictures they show online. This place is dangerous, terribly inconvenient, and crawling with sexually aggressive construction workers, heavy equipment, and cockroaches. This isn't even an apartment complex, it is a run-down hotel that they are trying to pass off as apartment units. They tell a great story when you view the property, but it is such a dangerous demolition/construction zone that NOBODY should be living there during these months while the construction is underway. When you are not dealing with that, there are break-ins (a police officer told me the Aspen Lofts office was even burglarized), hit and run accidents in the parking lot, and gunshots at the even crappier hotel next door. The owners know this, but they keep reeling new people in to finance the work they are doing. The new people shortly figure out how bad the situation is, then they leave like we did- but without their money. If flat tire from nails, break-ins, vehicle damage, roaches, and construction workers and out-of-town contractors coming on to you at your home, this is the place for you. We got the *** out of there. Aspen Lofts is a horrible place to live.
