Verified Reviewer |Incompetence in billing
I had 2 foot surgeries in 2021, both were covered by my insurance.
However, 1 month after the first surgery the bills started coming. When I would call them they would tell me insurance isnt paying, my insurance company assured me they will pay when they code the procedures correctly and they would be willing to help them if theyd just call.
Unfortunately, Ive been informed by billing that they dont call insurance companies!
Well if they want to get paid I suggested they call but after trying to resolve this with them and getting nowhere Im done!
Seeking outside help through every avenue possible and I KNOW Im not alone in this.
Power in numbers and media coverage, reviews and word of mouth is how I intend to expose the incompetence and sheer laziness Im being subjected to.
One agent asked me to obtain the codes!!!
Seriously, is that my job?
I will not rest till this is over, in fact I think they owe me money for the time and energy Ive spent having to fight this ridiculous mess.
- I had good care
- You cannot resolve the issue with billing
- Billing department asked me for the codes
- Billing department is incompetent
Preferred solution: Billing department to do their job, even if that means someone calls the insurance company to get the proper codes. Seems simple to me but since it’s been so difficult for them at this point I’d like compensation for my time, energy and undue stress.
User's recommendation: Stay Away if you’re insured

Resolved! I wrote a letter to the Oklahoma Attorney General’s office and had my issue resolved. I now have a zero balance.
