Verified ReviewerNo warranty service
- - 2023 5-ton HVAC installed; non-functional under warranty.
- - Four-day wait for warranty service in 91°F heat; seeks prompt warranty fulfillment.
I am extremely disappointed with the warranty service provided by Art Plumbing and Air Conditioning. In 2023, I had a brand new 5-ton HVAC system installed in my home by this company.
As of today, the system is completely non-functional. I immediately called their customer service line at (888) 835-**** and spoke with a representative named Nikki. She confirmed that the unit is under warranty but informed me that no technician is available for the next four days. I live in South Florida, where daytime temperatures reach 91°F.
Being without air conditioning for four days in these conditions is not only uncomfortable; it's potentially unsafe. What's most concerning is that this delay appears to be linked to the fact that it's a warranty (non-revenue) service call. I strongly believe that if I were paying for service out of pocket, a technician would have been dispatched immediately. This gives the impression that they are deprioritizing warranty obligations in favor of paid work.
I am now forced to seek help from another provider and incur additional expenses just to get the system running again, despite having a valid warranty.
I chose this company based on its reputation, but this experience has seriously undermined my trust in their service. I am requesting that Art Plumbing and Air Conditioning honor their warranty in a timely manner and ensure that customers are not penalized or ignored simply because they are not paying out of pocket.
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered
User's recommendation: Don't buy from them

Verified ReviewerHas not provided what I paid for
- - The Home Depot used a third-party installer.
- - The unit ran 2 hours, then failed; a replacement part may take 8-10 business days.
I went through The Home Depot to have a new Central Air Conditioning Unit placed in my home the third week of July. Given they are a well known and trusted company, I felt secure to invest with them as I have with other projects in my home in the past.
As you may know, The Home Depot utilizes a third party company for their services installations, which I am familiar with, and have had great experiences with. The Home Depot sent out a sales representative from Art Pluming Air Conditioning and Electronic, with whom was so efficient and thorough I was able to have installation the next day. The unit worked for the first 2 hours and has not worked ever since. I was told a part is needing to be replaced in order for the unit to work, and an order from the manufacturer will take 8-10 business days to arrive to the company.
I found this odd given the fact that I paid over $13,000 for a brand-new unit. Furthermore, I was given a story that post COVID, manufacturers have been spitting out defective products, and they have no way of knowing which units are good or not until installation. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I waited, I called, and I waited, and I called some more and to this day I still do not have a working Unit. I was provided with 2 window unit for a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom 3000 square foot house.
This is the second week in September, and now I'm told they are filing a complaint with the shipping company and may have to reorder the part.
I have been concurrent calling The Home Depot to file a complaint with the Installation Services Manager, and I have yet to receive a response from them.
I have put in a request to receive another new unit or to receive my money back within the first 30 days and as you can see both Home Depot and Art Pluming Air Conditioning and Electronic have been both dragging their feet on providing what I paid for.
Needless to say, I am utterly frustrated not only because I paid for a service I have yet to receive but also because I live in South Florida with an elderly mom and young child who is suffering from all of this. I feel betrayed by both company and at this point all I want is my money back.
Preferred solution: Full refund
