Verified ReviewerIncompetent Customer service
If it sounds too good to be true, it's probably a bad deal. This travel club is run through a highly reputable USAA bank.
However, the travel company is highly questionable in terms of customer service and support. Basically, the airline changed the flight time, causing the trip to be invalid. I understand that the company has no control over this issue. I contacted customer service for assistance.
The young woman on the call was friendly and rebooked the travel at an earlier time. Once customer service informed me that everything was complete, I got my itinerary and the service rep booked the first flight two days later than the connecting flight (the trip was supposed to happen on June 13, but the rep booked the first leg on June 15 with the connection scheduled on June 13). I immediately contacted customer service again and was informed by a male agent that, since it was booked within 24 hours of the flight, I needed to contact the airlines directly to fix their mistake that they committed five minutes earlier. After loudly expressing my discontent that I needed to speak with the airlines due to their mistake, the agent reluctantly agreed to assist.
The agent then stated that there were no other options for travel on AA for June 13. I asked if they could book on a different airline and was informed that, since they had originally used AA, they couldn't change to a different airline.
I asked if they were exclusive with AA and the agent stated, 'No, we use multiple airlines to provide the best value. However, we can't change to a different airline since it was originally booked by us on AA.' I informed the agent to cancel my reservation and provide a full refund.
- Cheap prices
- Will not assist with travel issues after booking
- Incompetent customer support
- If there is an issue with your trip you are on your own
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified Reviewer |Did not receive 'free travel voucher vacation promised
I watched your presentation in full and sent to your sales advisor Marilou from Ontario Canada. I listened to the sales pitches by both presentation and her.
My wife and I experienced water leaks in our home, and came across expenses not covered by insurance, which I explained to her and thanked her for her time. She rudely said she wished I hadn't wasted her time, and she 'gave a lot of it'. I also gave her time from dealing with the water damage in our home, and put out a lot of money for it for 'things not covered.' I told her to send me the vouchers and I was reporting her. She said in text, 'OK'.I have since called your main office for customer service main office at many times during the day the last several days and get the recording 'the office is currently closed, call back during business hours.' I AM CALLING DURING BUSINESS HOURS.
I am now glad I didn't waste any more time or spend a dime since this proves to me,she knew that to complain wouldn't go anywhere and was simply trying to make a sale and had no intention of honoring her end or Arrivia's 'free vacation'. Your company offers these vouchers whether you buy or not. I simply CANNOT afford to do this at this time, but as I experienced with other 'presentations' like this in the past, it is the same, high pressure sales or try guilt trips into buying. Even if you do buy a membership I see many complaints online and the 1 star ratings and warning people to stay away from this 'travel club'.
I await your reply.
I am writing mostly to let you know about your 'sales advisor' and her tactics. If you wish to contact me, you can email a response or call me 'during business hours'.

Verified ReviewerI explained to her in the process after watching the presentation and the plan offers, we were hit with expenses not covered under our homeowners insurance, and couldn't afford to get a membership.
To file a complaint against a sales advisor in Ontario Canada and I did not receive my travel voucher free gift. Sales advisor acted as though we wasted her time after explaining we were hit with expenses from pipes bursting in our home that insurance doesn't cover.
This was after watching the presentation and before getting with her a second time to discuss possible plan offers. Her attempt to guilt me over her time didn't sit well with me and I have no intention of joining now if this is how the sales advisors operate.
I checked reviews and it also solidifies I made the right choice and can see why such poor ratings exist even with the BBB. I informed her I was going to report her and I never received the vouchers I was promised for watching the presentation which proves to me if you don't do what they want they stiff you after wasting my time watching a presentation where a vacation that's probably not worth even taking and is probably subpar at best.

Forced to use this company through wanting to book with my Platinum AMEX card and Arrivia is a disaster. Started with person named Ryan Neufield and then account taken over by Emily Spencer whom was even worse.
I had to ASK for my CRUISE DOCUMENTS just days before my cruise as I believe all correspondence with my ship must have just gone into a junk folder.
Never received bag tags or any of the extras other family members received that booked directly with the cruise company.
Never have received credits to my card for services that were sold by Arrivia, but unavailable to me. Purchased insurance is also in doubt.

Verified Reviewer |Not providing what they promised
About a year ago I spoke with a representative of Westgate Cruise and travel who promised all kinds of points and cash toward travel in exchange for several thousand dollars. It sounded good so I gave them around $1500 up front, $230 a month then in March when I called to book a Disney Cruise I paid off the membership with a final payment of $694.
I then proceeded over the next couple of months to give a total of $6091 towards the cruise. Now they claim that I owe the balance completely out of pocket. In other words the thousands of dollars I gave them before has just disappeared and no one will help me figure out what happened to it. I have called repeatedly and spoken to several different people and I just get the same rundown of the $6091 I paid out of pocket since I tried to book the cruise as though they were doing me a favor by crediting all of it toward the cruise, which they claim they have booked but I still haven't received email confirmation after requesting it multiple times.
I've also left numerous messages for my "concierge" but have not received a call back. I even sent an email to the person heading up membership in Arrivia without receiving any response.s

Verified ReviewerCan't renew my certificates - it is a scam.
I bought the certificates for 2 7-day stays for 2 adults and 2 kids with lifetime validity. They told me that i can use those anytime by paying for reactivation fees of $150.
But they are now saying I can't .
These people read from the script and don't understand the english. Stay away or be careful when you make bookings.

Verified Reviewer |Aloha Hawaii Tours - staff lies when scheduling webinar
Owned by Arrivia, Aloha Hawaii Tours staff lies when scheduling webinar to hear about their services.
Scheduling staff said I WOULD FOR SURE "receive 5 Days and 4 Nights Hotel stay,That you can use 3 to 5 Star accommodations in the city of your choice of over 50 of the most popular Destinations Available. Valid for 24 months and good for family 2 kids and 2 adults after completing the presentation."
I listened attentively to the webinar, but did not want to pay for the service, so I passed.
It sounded a lot like Travel Transparency, though was said to be different. I never received any accomodations follow-up. Checked spam/junk mail... nothing there.
Inquired with the person's text who sent webinar link, they have stopped responding.
This is BAD business. Buyer beware!!
