ARMSTRONG FURNACE FAILURE

SEE: http://youtu.be/EjPLwVUGC98 The furnace has been in service 10 years, 7 months, carefully maintained with service every six months and Aprilaire filter replacement. Multiple parts failed and had to be replaced for the furnace to function and to provide heat properly. Cost: Nearly $1000.00 for parts and labor. Limited factory support. All parts had to be ordered and shipped to distributor and contractor. When I contacted Armstrong, no one was available by phone and NO reply to email. Model: ULTRA SX GU95 Will I purchase Armstrong again? Will I recommend Armstrong? NO!!! NO!!! NO!!! Dan Fulton Birmingham, Alabama

My Armstrong Ultra furnace is exactly 10 years old. We have had one service call to remove a bird from the intake pipe.

Other than that, this furnace has been running perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone.

Armstrong is not that well-known. After ten years, alot of things can start to break and go wrong.

If things continue to go wrong with this furnace, you will be better off just replacing it as it will cost less in the long run. However, go with a majour brand like Weil_McLain.
