I love their Fed Protect policy!

They have a new policy that will last the rest of your life. I was amazed at the price for a lifetime policy!

I jumped on it immediately. I have never seen a term policy that lasts the rest of your life, or until age 121, without ever changing the premium or coverage. You just can't beat that.

Thank you! Thank goodness I qualified!

They cancelled my policy after 26 years of paying

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have had my term life insurance policy since 1996 and always paid on time. My payments were setup to automatically debit my account quarterly.

I just noticed that my September payment was not debited so I called. I spoke to a representative that said I was sent a letter with instructions to setup my auto payment to go to another provider that was now handling my policy. I told her I NEVER received a letter and she was very rude and said I did receive the letter and instructions. She said the only thing they can do is send me a form to complete for reinstatement and I could send it back and they would have to decide if they would reinstate it.

This is a scam do that they dont have to cover me any longer because I am 72. What a scam: Collect high premiums from veterans and then when they are elderly just claim to send a letter to redo auto payments and then cancel the policy.

I am contacting a lawyer and the Insurance Commissioner. They should be ashamed!

ACCOUNT HOLDER SINCE 1985 - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

AFBA has no customer service! I have had life insurance with them since 1985.

I tried emailing and calling with a question and never received a response and no one ever answered the phone, I waited 15 minutes!

Go elsewhere for your insurance needs. Service members deserve better treatment and service!!!GO

Stalling and excuses

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My wife had a 50,000 dollar term life policy. I lost her on 07-18-19.

On 08-19-19, I get a check for 15,000 dollars titled as "Emergency Funds". I was told to complete their claim form and send in an original death certificate. I do this and wait a reasonable amount of time. By this time, three other insurance companies had already paid in full, no problem.

After no check comes, I call them. I'm told that it never arrived. I ask for them to send me another claim form, guess what? It never arrives.

So, I call back. I'm told that yes, they have my claim form, but she could not tell whether they had the death certificate. They were in the same envelope. She would call me back the next day.

Well, no call. I've never seen such a case of stall tactics and excuses ever in my 55 years! By the look of other reviews and BBB complaints, I do not seem to be alone.

I have already been in contact with the VA Bureau of Insurance. Since I live in CO, the Insurance Commissioner here will be my next step if I don't get a resolution in this case.
