University making big profits by using Counselors who Advise Students to take courses they do not need and extend their time and debit

My daughter has attended the UAFS and Arkansas Tech University.

Over the past 2 years, my daughter spent a great deal of time with her Counselor at Tech to ensure she had all the required courses to graduate with her degree.

She was assured, 2 semesters ago she had completed all the required course work to graduate, but was very surprised when Arkansas Tech Counselor and Dean said they had made a mistake and she could not graduate. So she went another semester. Then the same thing happened the next semester.

Now, after receiving her graduation notice in the mail, and sitting for graduation pictures last week, and in the process of ordering cap and gown, the same thing has just happened again!!! Ark Tech has just informed her that some of her credits will not transfer from UAFS!

I am not sure at this point if I should contact an Attorney, or channel 5 news because I feel we are being scammed!

Her student loans are becoming ridiculous after 7 years of college in quest of a 4 year degree in Wildlife Biology and she cannot afford to keep taking classes she does not need.

Every semester her counselor, and now last semester the Dean even become involved in her scheduling, tell her these are the only courses she needs to graduate, now going on the 3rd semester they have told her this. We are absolutely amazed at Tech's lack of knowledge and integrity in the matter. It seems they are doing this to generate $$$ for the University and several of her friends have had the same happen to them!

Is this just a Coincidence, or something more??? $$$$

I have a serious concern wuth Russellvilles business practices crazy policy. I am a black man that breifly signed up to attend this school right after I graduated from a junior college to try and keep my education going. I only tried this school because of all of rhe hoopla of how the are well recognized, which may be true. But is the opportunities the same regardless of your race? Here's the issue, I attended there super briefly in June of 2012. As most people know it was federally funded so, I have no issue with costs. Now, its bout to get a little lope sided. Why? Well, on the very first day/interaction with my Professor on line, the Fed decided i had went over my funding limitations. Not a problem. Just wished they would have told me this before I was accepted and enrolled.

Now, I have been going back and forth with the school on who owes this final bill they accessed to be 20 percent which is still waaay more than I would pay or try to pay for a mishap that was out of my control.

I think they are just being screwy with trying tohold this over my head when 90percent of College student's would not have half a chance if it weren't for the Fed Monies.

So, I thought I would put them on blast to see of any other person od color had similar outcomes?

Maybe not with the business office but any different type of treatment at the hands of this Professional Organization? In closing, I truly believe that the all white panel didnt look at my point of the feds cutting me off, the just want this black man to pay for that 4year old bill that I really didn't incur. ***, I didnt even get the chance to converse online with my instructor before the feds sunt a stop payment ro the school.

Which is why they say I owe. How?

They need to hire more blacks in the office or higher areas in the college.

Not that would make a bit of a difference but they should. I already know Russellville is a clan town.

And want this to be exposed as very petty to try and make my accountable for a bill that I could've paid without Fed help in the first place. That's why I'm pissed.
