Arkansas Blue Cross And Blue Shield

I had blue cross blue shield with my job in 2021 and had my weightloss surgery and blue cross blue shield said they would help cover it and gave me a list to do before they would cover it and after I have my surgery I get a bill saying they didn't cover any of it? I'm trying to find out why?

Received forwarded mail from blue cross blue shield from my husbands old PO box address in Iowa. The letter stated that as of March he and our daughter would no longer be provided health insurance coverage from blue cross blue shield of Arkansas because he is not a resident of Arkansas.

They required proof of residency but would only accept a utility bill in his name, but would not accept his Arkansas DL with our physical address listed on it. They would not accept his bank statement from the bank on which the monthly premium of 1,050 is drafted. Yes that's almost 17,000 per year for health coverage and we are not eligible for the exchange, so as one of the few paying people in Arkansas for almost 3 years now we get to suffer some more.

I really do think they are trying to kick him off because in this previous year they have had to pay for some high dollar scripts for his pre existing heart condition. They are looking for a reason to not provide him with health care.

For the past month I have been getting emails that I need to choose a healthcare plan, but I already have one and have been paying my premiums to Arkansas Bluecross Blueshield for over a year. I have gone to their website and emailed customer service and asked them to tell me if I need to do anything?

Today I contacted them for the 5th time this month, with no reply. I realize that the insurance companies don't like the Affordable Health Insurance Act, so they are deliberately sabotaging the system by not telling their clients, like me, what to do thus making everyone feel it is the fault of the Affordable Health Care Act, when in fact it is the fault of the big insurance conglomerates like Arkansas Bluecross Blueshield ...

Was helped by Arkansas BCBS on the phone for 45 minutes. He knew what I specifically needed for my child.

Was assured the policy fit my needs. The PDF summary has incorrect and misleading information. Arkansas BCBS customer service admitted to the wrong information. Was told there was nothing that could be done.

Spoke to her supervisor, same answer. Left message with her supervisor's supervisor. No one will call me back. The last allowing event on their special enrollment event qualifications states, "Errors, misinterpretations, or inaction by the Marketplace, HHS, or their agents Proof provided by HHS".

What should I do know? Frustrated.

Okay so I gashed my head open after tripping and hitting the metal frame of the bed. I freaked out of course because there was blood everywhere and I had a huge gash.

I went to the hospital and after a while got stitches. I knew I would have to make payments but I was surprised. Blue Cross BlueShield didn't pay anything. Actually they covered the fee for using the card, but I was still stuck with a $500 bill.

Turned out, in order for them to cover the bill I would have had to had 5 regular doctor visits that year. As if the wound wasn't painful enough and this happened last March.
