Will not return $622.82 paid in full to repair leather sofa seat and back cushion on easy chair.
I sought leather repairs for my sofa and recliner. The right side seat cushion had a tear.
The head pillow on the recliner was badly soiled. The store would not take a down payment. I had to pay in full. I had purchased the sofa set from the same store and leather repair had also been done previously from the same store.
At that time I was very happy with their work and proceeded to order the new repairs costing $622.82. However, when the apholsterer arrived with the leather coverings he took the set covering out of the box he was carrying, took one look at the damaged sofa, and said this is too small, I cannot do this! To reassure him or me, he threw it on the torn sofa seat and started pacing. He paced for awhile,wandered over to the adjoining room, made a call to the store which had placed the order.
I also spoke to the person there who had taken the order. It was then that I was informed that his was a separate bill of $83 per hour. That, was not mentioned nor was it indicated on the sales order. Before he left he suggested that he would take the sofa to repair the seat .
I said 'No!" I would not pay him as he did nothing.
Angerly, he left throwing the leather cover on the sofa. I was glad as I was afraid that he was a fraud and had scopped out my duplex.
I have been calling the leather company and have recieved no satisfaction!
