Same thing with ny Mother. My stepfather failed to call for help when my mom had a stroke.

They live only a half block from a hospital in San Gabriel California. I called for an ambulance 911 when I discovered her on the floor during the stroke. He had mom transported 60 miles to another county during the stroke because he insisted that she had to go to a Kaiser facility. She suffered extensove brain damage due to his neglegence and he is in denial of his incompetence.

I have been excommunicated for reporting him to local authorities and APS has failed to recognize any wrong doing.

He refuses to get a will or trust in her behalf as well in order to keep everything in his sons name. I am beside myself and my siblings are on his side out of fear of being excluded as I have been from the family.

My mom was married to my stepdad for the past 25 years. She died on 4-2-15.

after mom died I was taking care of dad. His son came in to the picture and took dad from the hospital under doctors orders not to remove him. Isolated him from everyone. Stoped giving him his insilin for 5 months.

Made himself his payee, stoped making payments to dad's house. all bank statments were all withdrawals on sons part. son lost dad's property. Had no electric, gas and water in the house, the house was filthy where he cared for dad.

18 reports to a.p.s they closed the case few months before he passed away with a black eye and scratches all over his faace. another son that got out of prison did 27 years, came out and haad all dad's property's in his name. He did witness abuse and refused to report it. They know how to *** anybody that tried to help dad.

They are drug abusers. Nobody believed me but son got caught with drugs 3 months ago.

nobody talked to dad by himself. he was deathly afraid of his sons.

I contacted them to report my brother neglecting my mother and squandering all her money. They said they'd send an investigator out to check on her.

I called the investigator several times after that and 2 weeks later she finally called to tell me she couldn't do anything. WTH are they for if they can't help a 92 year old woman???

The investigator told me I had to hire a lawyer. I tried that route first but they want a 5k retainer.

Then the expenses get added on hourly (300) as they look into the case. I don't know what else to do!
