Uncaring for damage they caused
- - Ari was sent to fix a stove not heating.
- - He used a power screwdriver and blew out all the electricity; main breaker couldn't be found; no callback.
We called Regency They sent out Ari to fix our stove that was not heating up to what it should. He turned it on and said its working its hot.
but thats not the worst of it. He then pulled it out put a power screwdriver to the back and BLEW OUT ALL OF THE ELECTICITY IN THE HOUSE. After he could't find the main breaker because it wasn't in the house ( we live in a 4 strip condos ) he looked at me and said I have 2 more stops to make I can't wait any longer. For an Emergency Electrician ( This was at 5:30 and it was dark.
) our wired fire alarms were going off and driving our Husky crazy.
I had to leave for work. This was Friday they were supposed to call back Monday to reschedule never did.
User's recommendation: DON'T USE ARI
Repair of vintage GE double oven range

- - He located rare parts and saved our stove.
Chad Garner saved our 45+ year old GE vintage oven. He was on time, professional and very competent at problem solving a complex issue in our old range.
When two parts were required to fix the oven. Chad was able to locate parts that haven't been made in many years. He did not give up when told they were not available. His skills and persistence paid off and he saved our stove!
Chad was not only very skillful but also pleasant and able to inspire confidence.
DO NOT CALL ARI FOR ANYTHING
- - Called Ari to repair a washing machine.
- - A new computer was needed and later installed.
- - Do not call Ari; they charged in advance for everything.
Called Ari to repair a washing machine. A techinician came and said it needed a new computer.
About a week later they show up Nd replace the computer, and the machine still doesnt work. A second technician comes and decides the machine needs a sensor replaced. A week later someone shows up to replace the sensor and finds out they have the wring part. They claim to put a rush on the replacement part but it has now been another three days and they have no clue when they will get it.
Meanwhile they charged in advance for everything.
I have now asked them to put back the original broken part and forget the whole thing, and to credit everything they charged. They keep saying "yes" to everything and then do whatever they want because your money in advance.
DO NOT CALL ARI FOR ANY APPLIANCE REPAIR.
Island hood lights do not work
- - Appointment 11-1; arrived ~3:00.
- - Lacked leads; borrowed mine; spent an hour.
- - Quoted $500+ for a hood costing $899; may not fix.
Appointment scheduled from 11-1 timeframe. Called to say it will be closer to 2:00.
Showed up at 3:00 and did not have the proper leads for troubleshooting a electrical problem. I borrowed him my leads. Spent one hour and told me it is hard to troubleshoot problem and says that the part he needed to replace may not fix it. $500 plus for a hood that cost $899.
Spoke to Mike the supervisor and he stated "I'll talk to him" wasted money. Not going to spend $500 when they are not sure it will fix it.
Disappointing at the very least. Unfortunately the reviews seem to correctly reflect their business.
Washing Machine Repair That has Not Happened! Pre-paid the Money.
- - Charged a $95 diagnostic fee; parts quoted at $477.
- - Upfront payment; parts ordered with 3-5 day estimate; they don't call and delays extend to 2 weeks.
Worst ever appliance repair experience ever!! Called to get a repair on our washing machine.
They charged a $95 fee to diagnose the problem. The gentleman (Chad) that arrived spent just a few minutes pressing buttons and then indicated that the parts will cost $477, including the diagnostic fee. They had to order the parts, so we had to pay all of the cost up-front. They said that it would take 3-5 days.
After 5 days, we called and after another day, they indicated that it would be another 5 days. They never call, we have to keep calling them.
They still have not fixed the washing machine after 2 weeks. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
Neve never call ARI appliance repair!
- - Charged $89.95 for a 7-minute visit.
- - Quoted $384.95 to fix the fridge; another company fixed it for $110.
- - Refund of $89.95 requested.
We paid $89.95 to have Chad Garner come out on 5/3 spend 7 minutes looking @ our fridge. He did hardly anything, but he sure was able to quote me $384.95 to fix our fridge. We were not ready to spend almost $400, we decided to get a 2nd opinion. We had another company come in and they fixed it for $110 total! Telling us that everything Chad told us was incorrect except that we needed to defrost our freezer!
Never never never never never never call these guys!
How about sending me my check for $89.95 back!

Ari Appliance Repair will overcharge you
- - ARI Appliance Repair charged an $89 visit fee and quoted a $431.95 repair, and Sears has a $319 service plan with parts/labor up to $500.
I searched online for a repair company to fix my washer. The ARI Appliance Repair website stated they were fairly priced.
I called and they agreed to come out for an $89 fee, which would be applied to the work needed.
They showed up on time, looked at the washer and then gave me the staggering news of $431.95 to fix it. What???? This washer was purchased in 2004. I was surprised it would cost this much to fix.
So I called Sears. The part to fix this washer is only $56.45.
Can anyone explain to me how a company that is going to fix a $56.45 part, that doesn't take that long to fix apparently, as confirmed by Sears, could charge $431.95?
Sears would charge $319 for a service agreement which would includes all parts and labor up to $500 and also would provide a year warranty on the washer for ANYTHING that needed fixing, up to $500 per visit.
I am bummed that I got suckered into believing that there are refutable companies out there that will fairly do business.
Never again... next time I'll wait patiently for Sears so I don't get ripped off.
My message to anyone needing repairs...
Unless it is imperative that you have your appliance fixed today, you should NOT call ari Appliance Repair, locations in Minneapolis, St. Paul and Apple Valley. Here is there phone number 651-222-****. Call and ask how much they would like to rip you off for?

I agree. We had the same people/problem.
They mis-diagnose, and continue to add charges. Seems like they like that 400. number, however we got screwed up to 600. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!
Beside the fact of all of the money, the owner/manager was very rude when I tried to get him to be accountable for any of it. RUDE!

I used ari also and went through the same thing. Overcharged me for a very inexpensive part with labor of only half hour.
I complained and that didn't help either.
I will never call them again. I would rather wash my clothes in a river.
