Poor Sales Experience - Avoid Arden Maidstone
I am in the process of buying a 3rd high end BMW from Arden Maidstone - but after giving them so many chances and them promising to improve, this will be my last!
I've spent £150,000 with Arden over the last 5 years and the customer experience has gone from bad to worse!
I know more (much more) than the sales team about the cars, options and available extras. I'm not car crazy, I just do my research but I'd expect the dealer to know at least as much as I do. They've even denied that specific extras exist until I've given them the part numbers!
They do not respond to emails or calls...like ever! They are utterly useless and doing anything other than providing a basic car. If you want extras or dealer fitted performance options, they just can't organise it or get it right.
I am picking up a car next week and them driving it immediately to another dealer for a number of performance parts to be fitted. It's a real shame that Arden were unable to give me the specification of car I wanted - it's a real downer on the handover experience.
If you want someone to call you back, treat you like an indvidual, or value your loyalty and custom.....go elsewhere!!!

01.10.2016 640D Enquiry
Drove just over 30 miles to look at 2 X 640D's shown on the website that I was very interested in buying. When I arrived I waited for a salesman , he didn't really know what stock was available so looked on the website found the two units I was interested in , he said that they were stock images and both cars were awaiting preparation and could not be viewed .
In literary 3 mins he said three times I'm not trying to be arrogant but....... You should have telephoned first . Now whilst that may be very good advice , he came across as not giving a f...and poke it & I don't care whether you buy a car or not .
He didn't ask for my telephone number or contact details and to be honest following this visit I wouldn't buy a car at this dealership under any circumstances .
I have bought 32 brand new cars from a whole range of dealerships and have never been treated this badly before . My advice is steer clear of these jokers , they could definitely do with some customer service training !

Park out there, it'll be fine
I've had my 3 series for around 2 years so decided I needed a new one. Went to their showroom to have a look at getting an X6 (to fit the family in).
Before we'd even got inside there was nowhere to park my car. So I ran inside and asked where to park so it didn't get hot or damaged, to be greeted with "just park it somewhere out there, it will be fine"
On a main road? I was quite shocked at the answer and the attitude displayed by the company; especially main dealer.
I don't want to leave my car on a main road where it could get hit, especially seeing how busy that road can get! Rude staff and one unimpressed customer.
Dirty?
Their site wasn't as big as I thought It was going to be which was a hit of a disappointment. I was expecting it to be pretty big and packed FULL of cars seeing as they're not brand new cars.
I had a look at what they had in anyway and they looked alright although some of the cars hadn't been clean and filthy wouldn't even begin to cover it. You would have thought that they'd clean the cars before letting people view them?
There was even an old yoghurt/ice-cream pot (or something to that extent) in one of the cars. Gross and not for me thank you.
I had to wait FAR too long
The whole process from beginning to end was fine it was the waiting times that got me.
I had to wait for this, wait for that, with no explanation as to what was taking so long.
I understand that checking a car and finalising things can take some time, I accept that but it would have been nice if someone popped their head round the dory apologised for the delay, offered me a drink or something and explained what was taking so long.
Having my children with me made the experience more stressful as they became restless.
Other than that, it was fine I would have just liked to have been kept up-to-speed with things.
No central locking, no mats
Bought the car in good faith. After driving the car away I noticed there were no car mats at all.
The fact that there weren't there was hidden by the bits of paper they put in after cleaning the vehicle- a bit cheeky I thought.
After about 2 days of having the car, the central locking stopped working and they aren't willing to deal with the issue at all. I have spoken to so many people and they just like to play a game of pass the buck. I took my car elsewhere in the end because that's the only way it was going to get fixed.
Now my central locking works I'm happy with the car. Just left a nasty taste about the business in my mouth.
Price confusion?
I went to their showroom to view what was there and was slightly confused by their prices.
Some of the pre-owned vehicles looked really nice, well cleaned up and presentable but I was slightly confused by the prices.
I agree that they are BMW's and therefore pricey but I thought they were a bit overpriced! They are used vehicles with previous owners and relatively high mileage so I thought the price would be reflective of this? Maybe not? The man there didn't rally try to explain the prices either nor negotiate with me so I didn't buy my car from there.
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
My boyfriend and I was looking for a new car, due to me expecting our first baby in April we needed to change my mini cooper for something bigger. I am heavily pregnant and wanted to find my car quickly, when arriving I saw a BMW 3 series and a BMW X5 I was torn between the two.
I wanted to view both but the sales man told my boyfriend and I we could only view one as Saturday's was the busiest the day automatically I was very wary about purchasing this car I was already hormonal due to the fact of being heavily pregnant. While waiting to see the car I chose to view I did not get offered a seat or a drink, I asked the receptionist where the toilet was her reply ''it's not in use'' the nearest toilet is Sainsbury's! sorry this is just not acceptable! While viewing the 3 series we noticed some paint work damage we was told as this was a used vehicle they would not be fixing this issue.
Buying a car directly from BMW you expect the best customer service. CLEARLY this is not the case. After viewing the car I wanted to go and find somewhere to eat and discuss this with my partner, on returning to the BMW dealership we was ignored by all the sales man and waited in reception for 25 minuets waiting to be seen to so we could purchased the car we had viewed. After finding someone to ask what's happening they said to us the car had been sold this is why we haven't been seen to.
This is disgusting!!! I will never be coming back here to purchase a BMW!
My wife and I were shocked!
My wife wanted a new car to use on all the school and shopping runs etc. We had a look online and found a BMW X3.
Before long my wife knew it was the car she wanted. We had a good look around and found a nice one from Adren BMW. We arranged to view the car, test drove it and both my wife ad I liked it.
On the drive home, a warning light appeared on the dash.
After looking it up, it was the engine management light and the oil light.
I know it may have been a pre-owned car but I wasn't expecting this just after we purchased the car? Looks like I'll be taking the car back before long!
Car broke down after 1 week I bought it
I purchased a car from Arden BMW and last week I experienced loss of power from the car. I have contacted numerous numbers since, however no one seems willing to assist even though I have warranty- I paid for 1 year warranty.
The after sales care seem to be insignificant since they have my money in the pocket. This is unacceptable from a main dealer, and I feel let down with the customer service.
I’ve always bought my car from main dealer, this is becoming a bitter experience.
I am hoping others reading this would not make the mistake of believing main dealer is necessary the better option when considering to buy a new car. They're as bad as independent dealers.
Arden BMW are scam
I am very disappointed with the shambolic customer service I got from Arden BMW in Kent. This “black sheep” of the BMW dealer network are the worst dealer to buy a car from. They seem to only care about taking my money and not providing the required after sale care.
I bought a mini cooper s from them and the passenger seat rails are beyond repairs and now requires new seat frame to fix. It is beyond me how the so called highly trained technicians at the BMW workshop missed out the headlamp washer that is not working due to the hose system creasing when the bonnet is closed. An independent BMW garage which I took the car to, advised there is a strong probability that the bonnet of the car has been refitted poorly after repair work was carried out on the car.
When I called to share the information with the salesman that sold the car, he wasn’t interested. He told me I have to contact the service manager, who is very difficult to get hold of. I have left several messages for him, but he has never returned my calls. I am now £2,445 out of pocket, and I am hoping that they will reimburse this cost. The whole point of me buying initially from a main dealer is to avoid situations like this.
I will not stop posting online, until I get my money back.
Small, really small
I have been after a new car for some time now. Arden BMW seemed pretty cool when I stumbled across their website.
I had a browse through and found a few cars I was interest in so printed off the page and took them with me.
When I arrived I was pretty shocked at the size of the place. It was small, I mean really small. The way they take their pictures makes their show room look huge.
It's not.
I think my Kitchen/dinning room is bigger.
Say that, their staff seemed alright and willing to help but they didn't have a few of the cars I was after and the ones they did have I decided against as they didn't look so pretty up close!
Are these people actaully serious?
Someone suggested Arden BMW for getting my new car. I hadn't heard of them so Googled their name.
Their website is nothing but a rip-off of the BMW website. Is that some kind of a ploy to make people think they are actually on the BMW site? I don't know but it's cr*p.
I also tried to search for some online reviews and found their review page and surprise, surprise there was noting but positive 5 star reviews.
I mean are you serious? It's pretty obvious that they've written them or they just disregard any reviews below a 4 star.
Other than their own review site, I couldn't really find any other customer reviews (that I felt were genuine) so based on that, I'm not buying a car from them at all!
Jog on!
The car I wanted wasn't even there
I have been searching for a new car since my old one packed in. I found the car I wanted online and phoned ahead to make sure it was in the showroom (I lived quite a journey away and didn't want to waste my time)
When I arrived at the site, it all looked rather promising until I asked the sales personnel about the car I wanted only to be told that the car had earlier been sold.
The sales personnel wasn't at all apologetic or helpful in anyway so I has no means of purchasing a car from them what so ever. Nothing more than a waste of my time.
