We moved in to 1 of her properties on 16th and Keefe in October of 2022 and it was a nightmare from the start! I was 7 months pregnant and our heat went out in the middle of winter.

She offered no help or solutions. We had no heat for 4 days and had to run the oven for those 4 days so when it came time to pay rent she refused to help pay any of the electric bill. Now it's been well over a year and she still has not returned our security deposit and just ignores all messages and hangs up when you call her. I had a slip and fall case against her and she hung up on me and my lawyer when we asked for the building insurance information so now we settled the slip and fall on May 2nd 2023 but because I sent in a complaint to the consumer protection bureau she still hasn't sent my settlement check and my lawyer doesn't know what to do.

He says she can't avoid it forever but she is refusing to send the settlement check as well as will not send the security deposit check either. DO NOT RENT FROM HER!!!

UPDATE: I sent her a copy of the video and she responded saying she paid me for what she owed me and that I didn't even pay the double security deposits but that The Guest House did. Yes the Guest House did however they told me that when I moved out that the double security deposits were being given to me as a stepping stone to get a new place. I've since contacted The Guest House and they reassured me that I am absolutely correct and that the deposits were to be given to me.

Latasha then stated that she was contacting the police because I was harassing her. I'm trying to get to the court house!!!
