Today February 25, 2022 i attended noonday mass at St Mary in Chinatown with Father Da Rosa. I was very disappointed he did not mention Ukraine at all.
This is a critical national issue and I would think in the nation's capital he would have a prayer, a wish for peace. Instead he spoke on the need to seek the priest out for a good solid marriage between husband and wife. I am not sure about what family men priests are anymore, but the blatant ignoring of Ukraine is too bad.
I guess they get a lot of war dollars but does that mean they ignore the world? Oh I guess he offers marriage counseling but not counseling on that other worldly stuff...
