Aquarium Adventure

Tried calling Aquarium Adventure several times during the day to inquire about their mail ad. Ad stated that for every two cans of food brought in to donate to the food bank a 1/2 off coupon would be issued for any fish in the store.

Couldn't get any answer on the phone after several tries during the day and being put on hold 20 minutes at a time. Decided just to go ahead and make the one and a half hour drive to Columbus to visit the store. After walking in and looking at the fish I noticed that their prices were out of this world. The one fish that I was interested in called a bicolor angel was priced at $150.

The same fish at my local Petco was $50. It was also listed at Gerber's aquarium in Dayton Ohio for $60. When asked to speak to a manager some young man said I am the manager can I help you? I said yeah I've been trying to call all day and nobody will answer their phone before I made the one and a half hour drive up here.

He further stated that they were too busy and I asked will then why are there people standing around when they could be answering the phone and he replied that will actually we don't answer the phone on weekends because we are so busy. I also asked him if that is how they get away with that special deal is by tripling the price of their product and he became very agitated. I told him that I could buy the same fish at two other pet stores for $100 less and he told me to go have fun driving to Dayton. If they would have answered their phone like a normal business would have done and I could have asked the pricing I would have wasted my trip to Aquarium Adventure which I will never drive to Aquarium Adventure again.

I have spent a lot of money over the years buying aquarium supplies and fish from them but not anymore. After the young man told me have fun driving to Dayton I asked him what his name was he said it was John and I asked what his last name was he said John's all you need to know!
