After only 13 months the main controller failed. 12 month warranty.

Then the very same controller failed again after about 10 months. The 12 jet manifold came completely unglued (see image). Now leaking agin. After less than 3 years the cover is completely waterlogged and VERY expensive to replace.

Currently NOT available from Home Depot. This product was sold to me as "Made in the USA" but is now advertised as "Assembled in the USA." Turns out the controller is made in Baja, Mexico.

Filter problem

Again we go to remove the filter, took us 2 days of wrestling it and cutting at it to finally get it out to change the first time. The basically non existent customer service department just said "we have never heard that before" and "nothing we can do" Filter problems are a common problem with these crap hot tubs, so I knew those were lies.n't buydo So we have a nightmarish struggle every time we want to change the filter

Aquarest 300 Delivered not fully functioning

Original review Sep 16, 2021

Right, as in other reviews, Aquarest/Dream Maker do not stand by their warranties! Our hot tub that we waited 6 months for delivery on, arrived with one of the jets never functioning at all.

We were shipped the wrong parts to fix it and then a single part instead of the whole jet/hose installation kit.

They say that the insulation has to be removed to fix it. Who wants a brand new hot tub with insulation compromised, not us.

As of today 5/29/2020 spa company still says if I want to return the spa I have to pay $800 shipping. They tell me that even though their description says the heater keeps it to set temperature it’s normal for it to become warm.

I purchased based on description & according to the spa company the fact that is doesn’t stay hot with the cover off is typical. False advertising is the same as fraud!

Original review May 26, 2020

I paid for a hot tub but got a tub that only stays hot when its covered. In fact it gets way hotter that setting.

Over 104 degrees. Once uncovered the temp drops quickly. We lose 3-5 degrees if we keep half of the tub covered. Clearwater pools has refused to replace, refund or repair.

I purchased on description. It is not a hot tub!

For the hot tub to get hot quickly, you'll need to do the 220V conversion, 110V just isn't enough power to get the job done...

Defective select 300 tub ordered#26734

Purchased Select 300 as a gift 5-12-20 for $2627.61. It was finally delivered 8-7-20 to the recipient in Catskill NY and was immediately leaking.

After 3 attempts at replacing 3 parts over the last 3 months it is still leaking and the service repair tech indicates the tub is just defective. I want the defect unit picked up &;;;;;;;;; a replacement tub delivered immediately.

We ordered Aquarest spa. We filled it, turned it on & in 2 days it reached temp!

I removed cover, went to change, my daughter & grandson & i got in & it was only warm! Jets were turned on & it continued to cool off. Seller said it doesnt heat with jets on but its a friction heater! Aqua spa will not take it back unless I pay $800 shipping!

For a spa that doesnt work. I purchased by description but it doesnt work as described.

Beware & dont purchase this tub if I need a HOT tub! This one is only warm!

**DREAM MAKER/ AQUAREST**

Original review Mar 19, 2018

We purchased an AquaRest AR-300 spa in July of 2016. The AR-300 is a 2 person roto molded hot tub.

We made our purchase through Home Depot and the hot tub was shipped from the manufacture for $55. Delivery was made within about 3 weeks. The spa was well crated and there was no shipping damage. We installed the spa on our deck and used it once a week for about a year and a half.

My husband was incredibly diligent about maintenance. And then, the water started draining. I left multiple messages at DreamMaker hoping to get some direction, no response. So then, we had the spa service out to take a look.

I have to point out here how hard it is to service the roto molded spas... with the exception of the access cover for the pump, you can only access the plumbing from underneath, and you have to remove insulation to do so. Lucky for us our insulation was so waterlogged! Once we pulled out the wet, deteriorating insulation, our problem became quite obvious- A CRACK!

Silly us, why didn’t we think of that? The technician told us that it was obviously a manufacture’s defect. AquaRest does offer a five year warranty on the spa shell, so I sent a copy of our receipt along with pictures by certified mail (since phone calls can’t be relied upon). I did finally get a call back!

Now here’s the catch... you have to ship the hot tub back to the manufacturer if you actually want to use the warranty. The customer is responsible for palletizing the spa and getting it out to the street for freight pick up. Aquarest does split freight costs; our half would only be $556.

Jokes on us! Learn from our mistakes folks, these hot tubs aren’t a quality product, and customer service is definitely lacking.

My wife and I were in the process of purchasing the premium 300 of this system. In our lives we have learned when making a larger purchase "the tail (quality of service) wags the dog".

For service of this category of product - this catch 22 in service is unfathomable. If this warranty style has changed, please let us know.

If not, we will pay more for a product with a realistic warranty for a manufactured product they believe in. Thank you - Mike and Alison

I hope we were able to save you some grief! As far as I know, their warranty policy has not changed; I believe you can view a copy under the product info on homedepot.com.

We were able to patch the cracks on our own using epoxy, and do continue to use it. This in no way makes up for the lack of craftsmanship and the weeks of inconvenience and frustration it caused.

The company’s lack of response to my earlier review demonstrates, once again, their complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction. I recommend that you buy from a local company with a demonstrated history of customer service.
