Registering a foal taking to long with AQHA
- Foal registration started May 2023 and was mailed.
- Photos for color review were delayed.
- A supervisor became involved due to urgent sale.
Yes I have no alternatives because this is the only Horse Association I have to deal with if I want my foals registered with them
I had a question about a white spot on my foal and that was the worst thing I could have done! Just today (August 8, 2023) I finally had to get a supervisor involved, because my foal was sold & the buyer was coming this weekend to pick her up! I still had to get a coggins & health certificate, which of course I couldnt do without the registration, also I had to pay the overnight shipping to get the registration here tomorrow!
3 months of hearing from multiple people in registration that the color review desk hadnt seen the pictures yet, even after emailing more pictures of my foal to AQHA, in July, per a representative on the phone, who wasnt clear what pictures I had to take of my foal! This is unexceptable my paperwork was stuck on someones desk with no follow up call from them, no questions from them, nothing
Thank goodness I didnt have but 1 foal to register with them this year not happy with AQHA
- Website
- Lack of follow up from the color review person
Preferred solution: At the most for AQHA to pay for the overnight shipping charges of my foals registration…I’m not counting all the time this took me to keep checking on it
User's recommendation: Make sure “you” follow up on your paperwork because they go around in circles
