Replacement Aprilaire part

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

So, the door cover on the Aprilaire 2400 is built *** The little plastic pegs break off just trying to replace the filter. I go to buy a replacement today and they are no longer made.

The solution, replace the whole filter system!!

What idiot thought this was a customer friendly idea. DON'T buy an Aprilaire product.

Aprilaire - Paid 1800 for a dehumidifier that lasted a few days beyond the warranty

Paid 2000 to have a dehumidifier installed. It lasted a few days beyond the 5 year warranty.

The company refused to stand behind the merchandise.

Don't buy Aprilaire!!!

It will only last the life of the warranty!! Save your money!!!

Terrible products

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Uears of issues! The dehumidifier product is over rated and does not produce for the square footage marketed.

I have 3700sq ft home and can not get 5k units to lower humidity lower than 47% unless the HVAC company temporarily put two 5000 sq ft units in the basement to test the purchased unit. Then they removed the 2nd unit, I have to leave doors open, other door closed. Stand on one leg with a finger in the air to get the house below 50 percent. :).

Aprilaire is terrible since they ultimately do not provide quality customer support to consumers. If u select customer on the phone u get to leave a voice msg. If u call and select contractor u get far better service until they figure out u are a consumer then they can not get u off the phone fast enough even if they are not truthful.

The two 8730 zone temperature control units are off by hugh amounts. One can freeze rooms in zones set to warm 72 and burn up while trying to cool other zones again at 72.

They have replaced unita but zero solutions.

They have a great sales and market department.

My HVAC company said a rep was coming, and he would contact me to discuss. Again zero direct contact from Aprilaire rep.

This is American company that i recommend staying away from even if ur HVAC pushes u towards them as mine still supports.

I'm looking to switch out every piece of Aprialaire equipment as soon as I have the funds.

I love my Aprilaire dehumidifier - I have it professionally serviced yearly by my HVAC company. Not one issue over 8 years.

I’m not sure how you can claim $13,000 of damage on an item that costs 900-**** depending on the model. Sounds like an HVAC issue.

I’m on my third unit in under ten years and it had a fan failure in less than 4 months. Each unit failed within warranty and Aprilaire was pleasant about warranty, but each time, the approved service was $ 300 to $400 provide analysis and replacement.

Add to that , , two of the failures were during pandemic and having to take multiple days off work to be at home for service work. It’s not hard to get to > $1000 in actual out of pocket costs. The current unit is showing signs of coolant loss and failing to dehumidify; and it’s less than a year old!

The original installer told me they don’t use them anymore because of frequent failures. I wish I’d asked who they now recommend….
