Shady at Best
My warranty company went through Appliances Comfort Air to replace an A/C unit and replace a line that had leaks. On Aug 3, 2016 I had 2 technicians in my home to 1.
Install a new A/C unit 2. Put in a new line set to my 2nd A/C unit. Payment was demanded up front before any work was done. My invoice was for 60 ft.
of line set to be put in. This was not done. I have been given multiple stories as to why, up to an including, I was quoted the wrong price for 60 ft of line and that only 40 ft on line was run and I got a "discount". The tech was back out today 8/29/16 and suggested new repairs (more money from me).
I paid out of pocket for a new line set that I did not receive.
At this moment, the company is not taking ownership for their mistake and I do not have air.

Appliances Comfort Air Air Conditioner Repair Review from Acworth, Georgia
Awful, Awful, Awful... The worst company and customer service I have encountered in a very long time!
When the Senior Technician came to review my broken appliance he told me before he could touch anything he needed a payment up front, this was the first time I had heard this, so of course I paid him. He told me that he had to order a part and he left out of my house within 5 minutes. Four weeks passed no phone call so I decided to check with customer service and find out if the part had come. The customer service said no the part did not come in but they would call me as soon as it did.
Two weeks more past and of course I had to make another phone call to customer service and they said, oh yeah your part is here. I asked why didn't you call me she said that she was intending to call. She told me it would be about 7 days before someone could come in to install. The same Senior Tech came and install the part, without checking it.
I then check and it wasnt working!!! He came third time and said he had to order another part. Long story short, the appliance is still NOT REPAIR!!!
WHO DOES THAT??? Do not use this company!!!
Horrible Company and Horrible Customer Service
I was stuck with this company since they contract with American Home Shield and I had to use whomever AHS sent out. The first time the A/C was broken I had to keep calling as no one called or showed up for the scheduled appointment.
They eventually showed up 2 hours later. The unit was fixed and less than two weeks later it stopped working again. Had to go through the same process. No one calls for days to schedule the appointment.
The woman who answers the phone is the worst.
She has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS whatsoever. Needless to say, a week after recalling them to fix what they had previously fixed, it is still NOT FIXED!
Short Review on July&nbs-04:00;20,&nbs-04:00;2016
Terrible company and a very lousy and rude owner. They tried to overcharge me for parts with almost 85% markup.
Literally highway robbers. Stay away from them.
Fowl mouth owner Blaine!
ABSOLUTLEY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! After 3 weeks not having been contacted by them for the status on the parts they said they ordered for my dishwasher I called and spoke with the dispatcher.
She told me the parts where not in yet and that they can't call everyone every day to update them. I just wanted one call and they still couldn't do that. I ask to talk to a supervisor so she got a man who said his name was Blaine. I tried explaining how mad I was waiting 3 weeks for nothing to happen. He over talked me to the point my wife and kids could here him and he hung up on me.
I called back and he told me he was the owner of this company as if he was better then me and I needed to shut the *** up when he is talking to me. After his temper tantrum he hung up on me again like the unprofessional coward he is. So If he would like to dispute this review he has my number and is welcome to call me but I don't this he cares after seeing reviews about him on this site and all the other ones.
This seems to be a common thing with this guy. THIS IS A NEGITIVE STAR REVIEW!!!!!!!!
AWESOME Customer Service!!
Having been a Real Estate Agent in the ATL market over 20 years and used countless HVAC companies for my clients and myself, I can say without question Appliance Comfort Air always delivers! I have had clients call them with no heat in the dead of winter and no AC in 95 degree temps.
They come out quickly and fix the issues. One of my friends had called one of the large companies who told her her 8 yr old AC needing replacing. ACA told her it needed a part, saving her over $4000!
They have come to my home after 7 on July 3rd and fixed our AC! Call them first...you'll be glad you did!!

Appliances Comfort Air - Repair Review from Rising Fawn, Georgia
DO NOT USE this company!!! They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced!!!!
The office manager is horrendous and a complete amateur. I've waited 2 weeks while they looked for parts. They've made 2 service calls to "measure" because the office staff does not know what they are doing. The tech was professional and he is the only one!!
When I was told that I would be getting approval from AHS home warranty for a new unit one day and then was told something else the next day and I dared to ask what was going on the office manager was "talking over me" when she should have been explaining and apologizing! She should have shut her mouth for a minute. Then she said I was delusional when I know what I was told the day before. Then when I later talked to the owner he said "I am the man who can tell you to go to ***!" All because I tried to tell him how his office manger treated me.
I've been without air for 3 weeks. AHS said they haven't approved the company for the repairs yet so they've been sitting on their butts for weeks and haven't done anything. Then the owner and the manager is disrespectful to me for being angry??? This company sucks!!!
Read all the complaints on here, Google and the BBB. Don't use them! Yes I am angry and I cussed. There is no excuse to treat a customer so poorly!!!
I have asthma too so the heat is not a friend to my lungs. They didn't care. I was reprimanded by the owner for "not being nice to his manager either." Little did it matter that she called me delusional first. They are supposed to work for me, not the other way around.
They are supposed to treat me like a customer!
I wouldn't treat my worst enemy like they treated me and I paid for the "privilege" of having to speak with them. Save yourself time, money and aggravation and use someone else!!!!!!!!
Agreed to quote and then they added fee.
I had to use this company because they were the approved vendor for American Home Shield. Their quote included outlandish extra charges for items that were not covered by the warranty, but the net cost to me worked out close enough that I decided not to buck the system.
I agreed to their cost and scheduled the service. When the service tech showed up he told me that there was a 3% fee to pay with a VISA card. I could avoid the fee by paying with check or cash. My share of the cost of repair was $800.
if I need to have $800 handy I need more than 3 minutes of notice. This was a huge annoyance. When I called the office about it they were really unpleasant and couldn't care less. I'll echo the other reviews here.
Their techs seem nice and knowledgeable, but they're office staff is one of the worst I've dealt with.

Very Satisfied Customer
I have been a leading real estate Broker for many years with a large Buckhead real estate company. Managing 75+ associates, I have the opportunity to hear about good and bad vendor resources.
One area where there seems to be a lot of opportunity for dissatisfaction is in recommending "Heat and Air Conditioning" service companies. We have one Vendor, "APPLIANCES COMFORT AIR", that we have recommended numerous times and receive very positive feedback and reports from our customers.
Our specialty is usually in the higher priced range homes and "ACA" professional team does an excellent job when it comes to dealing with these clients. Within the last month, I have personally had them to my home and my units have never cooled and run better!
Thank You "ACA", John Barnes

This company is terrible! I have to use this company because of my home warranty.
I gave them my cell phone number and they told me they would call before they got to my house. My husband passed away last May from cancer at the age of 43. I am a single mom and had to take my kids to school. The technician was calling my home phone and I specifically told them when I scheduled the technician to come out that I don't answer my home phone.
I told the lady that I was 10 minutes from my house and she told me that he couldn't wait. I had somebody there to let him in.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A JOKE AND A RIP OFF!!
Run. This company is horrible
Save yourself a lot of time and trouble. We have had no air in my house for over a month because they do not know what they are doing.
They have cost me over 1500 extra and have left a family with you children with no air in the middle of Georgia heat. if you complain, they drag out their services longer. We had no choice but to continue what they started or I would have kicked them out of my house a long time ago. If I had extra cash we would have written off all the money we already dropped into getting our repair done.
Don't trust them, they came to my house over and over and kept changing what the problem was.
Air would work one night and break again. Run away fast!
Poor service and customer service
This company is the worst. The office staff's customer service is to be desired.
The tech's are friendly, but I'm unsure if they are trained with the same level of expertise. I have been having problems with my a/c unit since middle May and it's now mid-July and my a/c is still not working properly. It was suggested that I get a new unit. I have had it cleaned, freon added, you name it, I've had it done.
Once the unit was replaced, it only worked 2 days. There was a Freon leak. When I paid my deductible, I had to pay for upgrades but they did not upgrade the evaporator coil. When the techs came out (you get a different tech each time) no one made a suggestion that I get a new coil to go with the new unit.
Would it not make sense to have a complete new system? So now, I have to wait YET AGAIN for a part and to be rescheduled for service. I have had ENOUGH. Do NOT use this company.
I believe they are only able to make money because home warranty companies use them because I can not see repeat or referring customers helping their bottom line. I don't have time to keep waiting for a technician.
A/C APPLIANCE COMFORT AIR
One of ACA's tech came to my house because the a/c would not work. he did some checking and finally cut some wires to the pressure valve and said he did that to a family members a/c unit and it worked for them.
After not using it but very little and then it got hot and it did not work. My warrenty company called another company and they told me that the compressor was bad due to vlave being bypassed. ACA was called back and later told the warrenty company that the tech did not cut the wires and they were not responisile for repairing it. It is bad when a conpany tries to cover their butt with a lie cause I was standing 5 feet from the tech when he cut them, but the owner says not he didn't the tech has been with us 9 years.
Sounds like alot of people could have the same problem if he has bben with the 9 years. My warrenty company is going to call them again and also that have talked to another co.
that tells them they were cut when they got here so they would not touch it. Lets see what the owner says if they don't fix it to a judge.
Wasted out time. Didn't even try to fix our AC
Appliance Comfort Air out of Buford, Georgia.
DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE WORK ON ANYTHING IN YOUR HOUSE. PLEASE believe all the bad reviews. It isn't worth the hassle.
Our home warranty company, American Home Shield, sent this company out when our AC stopped working. They sent Randall. He was good with our dogs, seemed friendly and informative. That's about as good as the review gets. He came out three times. The first time he refilled the Freon. That worked for 2 days, and then the system formed ice and stopped working. The second and third time out he tried to determine what specific part was malfunctioning and never could. On the third visit, he said that he was too big to fit behind the unit and had to call and schedule a smaller technician to come out. He sat in our driveway on the phone for 30 minutes. No one ever called us back or came out. My wife called them, first thing the next morning. She spoke to a Karen who said they had no order for another technician but would call her boss and find out what they could do. We waited until 3:30 to call them back. My wife then spoke to a James there. He said that there was no way to get a smaller technician out that day and that if she had called earlier then he could have done something. My wife told him that she HAD spoken to Karen that morning and that she never called back. James told her. And I quote…"Well ma'am, I have no way of knowing if you are telling the truth"….He then "hemmed and Hawed" for a few seconds and then told her that the original technician, Randall" said there was an "accessibility" issue. She told him that I used to weigh over 400 pounds and could access the system with no issues. James said he would have to call her back. I answered the phone when he called back and he said that "In speaking with my technician there is a safety issue and I'm calling your warranty company to get them to send someone else out…….So….3 trips, 2 weeks later, we still have no AC…….1st off. I cannot imagine telling a customer that you have no way of knowing if they are telling the truth. 2nd….There was no "safety" issue the first three times his technician went into our attic. It wasn't until they couldn't figure out what was wrong that it suddenly became "UNSAFE" to work on the unit…..When I asked James if I heard right…that he was just quitting and not servicing the account. It sounded like he mumbled something then hung up on me. I'm talking to American Home Shield come Monday morning and directing them to all of the service review websites, where you can see how many hundreds of people these people have ripped off. I'm also posting this to every single consumer review site I can find.
Appliances Comfort Air, Inc in Georgia. Despicable Customer Service!
Don't ever do business with this company! They were the vendor assigned by AHS to fix my AC.
The blades were not turning in the unit outside. When the technician arrived and I tuned the unit back on the bldes were moving. But the technician showed me where there was a wire corroded and that it had slightly impacted the capacitor as well. He said when I turned it back on that the wire just happended to be in the right place so it was running for a second.
So he replaced both the wire and the capacitor. He also pointed out that I wasn't getting ideal airflow because someone had used a pressure washer to clean the unit. I explained that it was his company that had just washed it about 6 weeks prior. So he took pictures to send to the owner.
When he left he handed me my old capacitor and I paid him the $60 service fee and signed off on the paperwork. An hour later, I noticed it was not getting any cooler (in fact, hotter). The temp read 86 degrees inside! I looked outside at the unit and once again, the blades were not turning!
I called AHS to request that he come back out there. They called the tech (I had his cell # on my caller ID) and he called the owner and they refused to come back out the same day! It's a holiday weekend and I had been without air since Friday and they said they were booked and couldn't come back out until Tuesday. I said that wasn't acceptable and the tech needed to come back out when he was finished with his other customers today.
The owner refused and said "Did you sign off on the work order?" Immediately, I knew what he meant, that by signing, I was acknowledging that everything was working fine when the tech left! I said "You are really not going to do this to me?" And the owner replied "Oh yes I am". I told him that I wanted my $60 service fee refunded as well as the $$ I paid to have the coils cleaned 6 weeks prior. He said he'd be happy to refund my $60 so that he wouldn't have to do business with me anymore.
He refused to refund the $$ for coil cleaning and insisted that they don't clean with pressure washers. I reiterated again that I don't own a pressure washer and that I live alone and no one has access to my home. He insisted it was not their problem. So, now I have to wait for a different vendor to get the service request from AHS on Tuesday and then I have to wait until they can fit me in!
Which means a week with no AC and it's 92+ degrees every day! I can't believe that the owner Blaine was that RUDE and unwilling to help me when it was clearly his technicians fault that the repair had not been done properly! I own 4 properties and deal with vendors all of the time and have never experienced this lack of customer service!!! On top of that, the owner lied to AHS and said that I cursed him out!
I do not curse at anyone and certainly not at a vendor!

I'm going through the same thing now, absolutely horrible experience with them and AHS. I wouldn't recommend getting involved with AHS, they are the worst!
