Trying to be brief; We received a Dehumidifier late this Summer from APPLIANCEPALACE.COM under the auspices of Walmart's "Marketplace". The unit arrived with obvious signs of damage due to a very poor job of re-packing an "open-box" unit. So bad was the packing that holes were punched through from the unit's sloshing around inside the box due to missing crucial protective Styrofoam. In conversation with "Levi" at APPLIANCEPALACE.COM I offered to open the box and re-pack before returning in order to minimize any further damage to the unit. Having worked for a high-end Audio Franchise back in the last Century here in Westchester, NY, I had plenty of experience learned the hard way on how to carefully secure expensive equipment for shipping. Levi expressed gratitude at my offer, so I proceeded to make that effort and send the unit on its return journey to New Jersey. Sent on 10/9/20;Received and accepted on 10/19 by "ABE" at Appliance Palace in Cranford, NJ (Proof on file) we were assured of a prompt refund. Now, after repeated conversations with WALMART and their "WALMART MARKETPLACE" Division wherein more assurances were made of a prompt refund; first assurance in "5 business day"; After THAT failed to materialize, another "3 business days" was guaranteed. Once again, not being told the Truth, as NO CREDIT has been made to or Credit Card. At a time when Good People need to come together and be supportive of our Nightmare recovery from the Chinese "WUHAN WHOOPSIE" that has forever (we can only Hope) changed the World, we are very saddened that both Walmart and Levi at APPLIANCE PALACE have failed us in such a glaring manner. We STRONGLY advise that one re-think doing ANY business within these underwhelming "enterprises" without being prepared for a HUGE waste of Precious Time.
