Appliance Doctor Of New Jersey - Refrigerator Repair Review from Winslow, New Jersey
I have used the appliance doctor to fix my dryer and everything worked out fine. I recently called them back to come and service my refrigerator,I called made an appointment no problem.
The service called me and said that he wasn't gonna be able to come on that day and I told him that when I made the appointment I specifically asked for a certain time because I left my job at certain time that day. Well,he and I resolved that matter and he said he would come on Saturday. Well, Saturday came and it was after 2 and I'm waiting home for someone I cLl the company and speak with a gentleman and he tells me he will call back. He calls back and tells me the guy won't be coming because he called me earlier, well I did I receive a missed call I called the number back no one picked up it just rang.
Now I'm pissed I wasted my whole afternoon and then you try and accuse of me not being available. It just so happened thT I left my phone as soon as I got back I called I don't play games and don't waste people time.
If you're a company a message should have been left and don't try and accuse the customer of lying over a phone call. I'm definitely not using this company I would call Sears more of a guarantee.
5 Minute Estimate Cost me $74.85
Joe Guckin from Paul Guckin Appliance Service showed up at my door, told me what the problem is, and then proceeded to look at the washer for 5 minutes and told me it would be $330. He then charged me $74.85 just to tell me what I had already known.
I asked on the phone what the price would be to fix a timer and they could not tell me but then proceeded to charge me the $74.85 when Joe Guckin showed up at my door. This is bad business practice especially in a time when most professions will give you a free estimate or a range that you can expect to pay.
Deceptive Service and Part
Appliance Doctor sold me a mother board ($374)that did not work, the technician came back 3 days after I complained, technician said the board was deceptive, I made my thought know that how can I be assured of the replacement board's competency. He said he can assure me that it will work.
A month and half the refrigerator was cooling off and On, and finally packed-up Early May. The same technician (Brad) came after I called again (the secretary was very good and polite during my call)he told me that I am out of Warranty. He wants to sell me another one for half price. I told him the one he installed is not a good one anyway.
He started giving me attitudes and yell on me that if my car is out of warranty, would I ask for a new part? The original part he installed was a fake one and meant to work for 2 or 3 months so that customers can buy another one.
No one should trust them for their word. I will never use them again.
