Signed up for $500, charged $5000!

I signed a contract for $500 a month for phone answering service. I was promised they would watch my account because I was hesitant on going over my minutes. This company does not invoice you or warn you when you exceed your standard minutes. I was promised they would watch my account so I would not receive any outlandish charges or surprises. Next thing I get a $5000 charge on my AMEX without warning. Terrible customer service and they couldn't even get my hours or address right most of the time. I complained numerous times about the awful service, told them I didn't think they should charge me for the calls for their staff giving out the wrong information or screwing up basic questions, had several meetings to try to fix things, nothing worked. IT was horrible. A tremendous waste of money and hard hit for a hardworking small business. Shame on you Appletree! Do NOT use Appletree Answering Service if you want quality work for a decent price!
