Apple Vending

An offered cash reward for information that hopefully would lead to an arrest and conviction of a person who allegedly ripped this company off for over $10,000.00. I saw the "wanted" poster while playing a skill game in a tobacco shop abd was super surprised when I actually knew the person in the photo, and I called the provided phone number to tell them I knew who they were looking for and where to find him.

Eventually I meet with Apple Vendings people to give them all the info I knew about the suspect, including where to find him, and they did. I was assured that the reward would be mine if he was arrested and convicted, and he was. However the president of Apple Vending then proceeds to ignore my calls and emails inquiring about the reward for about 5 months. When I finally am able to confront the president his answer is to tell me that the suspect wasn't convicted of fraud so he could not pay the reward( the wanted poster did not specify what the conviction had to be), ans that it wasn't his responsibility to pay it, it was the company who owns the software for the skill game.

Finally after a few months of this back and forth Appke Vending is told by the software company to pay the reward they offered, and after some more b.s. from Apple Vendings president I finally get paid. Not the end of the story yet though, they made it almost impossible to cash the check, putting all kinds of restrictions on the check, to avoid fraud they claimed.

But really to give me hard time because Apple Vendings president, who is Wirth a few million dollars, didn't want to do what he said he would, which was pay the reward. I got my money for doing the right thing but only because I pushed them to do the right thing.
