You can't get them on the phone. I used their customer service request form to have someone contact me, and they blocked me from their site! This is crazy and unacceptable in the United States!

My cat ended up in the er and is still super sick

AI Highlights
  • - Simba vomited after breakfast, with diarrhea and signs of pain.
  • - ER visit overnight; he was unstable, CPR may be needed, leftovers saved for testing.

On the 8th my cat Simba woke up in the morning perfectly fine, he woke up and drank water then he cried to leave my room cause he could hear my mom in the kitchen. I let him out and she fed him his breakfast which was the Tina fillet with salmon in broth food from PetSmart.

He ate basically all of it. My mom had let him out on the balcony for a little after that as well. He then came inside and started throwing up. The first time he threw up it was all of his breakfast which isnt really normal, usually when he throws up its just his hairballs.

This time was different it was literally his entire meal. I was trying to clean it up but then I noticed he went to my bathroom and started throwing up more so I went in there and was watching him. He then went in the litter box and came back out and went straight to my room. I followed him in there and there was diarrhea all over my room.

I saw him in the corner of my room still throwing up. He was also making weird meows and noises like he was in pain. Then he left my room and went out on the balcony and hid under the chair and my sister was out there with him and he was foaming out the mouth and was super lethargic. I had to grab him and pick him up to take him to the er.

When I carried him he felt like dead weight in my arms and very weak and he was foaming out the mouth with his tongue out. We rushed to the er and luckily we only live 3 minutes away and when we got there one of the vets ran out and grabbed him from me as soon as we pulled to the front. They made me sign a paper saying that he was very unstable and they may need to perform cpr and I needed to approve it. He had to stay overnight and he is still not doing well.

Im not sure if there was some type of bacteria in the can but I am very concerned and I just want to know if that was the cause of this episode.

My cat has never had any health issues before and rarely goes to the vet because he is very healthy. I saved the leftover food and would like it tested.

Cons:
  • Sent my cat to the er

Preferred solution: I would like to get the food tested for bacteria or other illnesses that could have made my cat unstable
