Tough working conditions
This company is basically a worker scam. You go into a contract and are promised absolutely no pay because you are expected to live on a purely commission bases.
If you are on contract, you have to do door to door sales in rain, sleet or snow, while getting doors slammed in your face on a regular basis. Working here, you seriously have to wonder if you are not breaking the law.
The head of the companies take you out to the vast regions of Toronto, and in strange neighborhoods you have to go door to door and sale things with only a vague knowledge of what they are. When they feel you are ready at they end of the day, they will pick you up in their car, and without a word about a paycheck they will take yo home.

Cold Calling Cult
Appco group is just one tentacle of the global direct sales cult known to some as Devilcorp. If you google search Appco Group scam, you will find plenty of bad press.
If you google search The Cobra Group (their old name) you will find even more. The BBC, The Mirror and The New Zealand Herald have written numerous articles about this organization.
They are about to be investigated by Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing in Australia. Truly a corporate horror story.
If you go to thedevilcorp.wordpress.com you will find a plethora of links to news reports, government rulings, lawsuits and video footage showing how these people do business.

If the neighbourhood where you are knocking on doors requires a permit to solicit and you don't have one, then yes you are breaking the law.
