Verified Reviewer | Roanoke, VirginiaInconsistent service, non responsive to AEP installation problems producing electrical hazards, closing 5 trouble tickets without resolving the electrical hazard
Ongoing electrical hard- water in underground conduit pouring out from the meter location and draining into the homes 200 amp Service Panel - basement flooding at times severe ( filling window wells and entering basement at 2 window locations.
Service line routing is at a higher elevation than the meter location and breaks in the conduit result in channeling of often upward of 1000 gallons of water against concrete basement wall.
5 or 6 prior trouble tickets called in all cleared without resolution !!!

StThis company is the worst power company in the United States! Ive lived all over the United States and this one takes the cake for crap!
All they know is raise your rates! They dont know how to fix power they dont want to pay workers just the consumer to suffer! I mean honestly do we need to do your job for you as well! I hope this company gets what they deserve and people boycott it!
They can turn off all our power bug crap but then what will it matter if they have no money coming in! I say Appalachian power black out days till they get the picture turn breakers completely off !
Its no different then them turning our power on after the wind blows!!
The bill shown is more then 1300 kw less then last year and me paying 100.00 a month more to keep my electric bill at 500. Go figure less kw more money I call bs

Getting overcharged for poor service. Everyone should get at least one month per year free as often as the power goes out.
Instead everyone is getting more expensive bills just because you can. You all suck

I am glad to see a company with a sense of humor but enough is enough my power has gone off 3 days in a row between 10 and 12:30 are you trying to see how many days I will go to work with out a shower
3 days in a row power gone off at allmost the same time I dont believe it coincidence is this some kind of a joke
Disconnect notice. 8 dogs in home, please help. I can make a payment on the 16th
Customer service explained to me all of my options and helped walk me through how to fix all my payment options so I do not run into this problem again. They even put a note to my account about my defenseless dogs in my home, to keep the safe in our home. Thank you so much Appalachian Power for all of your help and concern for us.

Our electricity went out on Saturday morning and wasnt repaired until Sunday March 13 at 12:59 pm. We went 2 days and one night with temperatures 17 degrees with no electricity!
We are in our 80s my husband disabled. This was inhumane and unacceptable what Appalachian power put us and the rest of our neighbors through. If Appalachian owner couldnt handle the problem they should have called in another company to help instead of letting us freeze! Our food in our freezer melted and the food in our refrigerator went bad and had to be replaced!

We lost our electricity on Saturday morning and wasnt fixed until Sunday at 12:59 pm on March 13th. 2 days and one night with temperatures at 17 degrees.
My husband and I are in our 80s and he disabled. It was inhumane what Appalachian power did to the people with no electricity for that amount of time! If they couldnt handle it then they should have called in another company to help with the repairs instead of leaving all of us to freeze! This is unacceptable!
As a result everything in our freezer melted and our refrigerator got warm.
We have to throw out all our food! This is just inhumane and unjust what they did to all of us!
Unacknowledged power outage
I reported an outage about two hours ago. Yet the AEP website indicates that no outage has been reported in my area. ?!?!?!?
