Verified Reviewer |Resolved: Don't trust APMEX to do the right thing
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. Don't know if APMEX issued the refund or my credit union, but I got my money back.
Either someone had slit it open and removed the contents or they were never shipped to begin with. I then got emails saying my package had been delivered and my Visa account had been charged. I called Walmart and the rep said he could do nothing for me. He suggested that I contact the vendor, who did respond 24-hours late, but only to tell me to file a police report.
I did this the very next day. APMEX then stated in a later email that they had conducted and internal investigation, but nothing was awry. Because they weren't going to assume responsibility, they presumed I would have to eat the costs. I told them very firmly I would not be doing so.
Whenever I have dealt with online vendors in the past, should something be damaged or missing, they were happy to issue a refund or replace the product. APMEX doesn't seem to operate this way and has lost any future orders from me. This is a company where the customer comes last, not first. Avoid dealing with APMEX.
8/24/2023 - Since dealing with APMEX was futile, I filed a report with my credit card issuer, Navy Federal shortly after posting the report above, and was given a refund in two days.
I do not know if Navy Federal pressured APMEX to act or if they simply issued a refund because the charge was on my Visa card. I still maintain that Walmart and APMEX did not act in good faith, and I've had much better luck with eBay vendors when problems arise.

Verified ReviewerWon’t refund on missing package that was supposed to be signed for but they decided it wasn’t necessary on a $9000 purchase and it comes up missing.
They refused to do anything not canceled account.
It states all over website shipped signed. Well we did not receive package. Called them had to file a police report. They come back with denied as it showed delivered at said address only we never signed for it received anything.
They said basically to bad so sad showed delivered and with covid they didnt need signature. Wth it can be stolen even with covid do why would you send something at that high of value without a signature for everyones protection? Well they didnt so were out 9000$. I have filed with my cc company but Im sure APMEX has disputed saying it was delivered to address therefore releasing all of their responsibilities.
If they had told me no signature I would of never ordered as is not safe to do so. But since it was stated more then once signature required and Ive had to sign on all previous orders I had no problem buying from them. On readings complaints against company on consumer sites I saw they have done this with more then one person. In fact a bulk of the complaints are the never received what they had bought.
Im requesting refund and shut them down. If nothing else change their website to reflect the changes they arbitrarily change and make sure all packages over 599$ MUST be signed for. The locked out account also bc we filed with cc company. Not that I would buy from them ever again but they act like I am wrong.
I didnt file with cc untill they dr hes me my refund. Please please do not allow them to continue with their deceitful practices and ripping people off!

In Oct 2020, I purchased a 10 ounce silver bar from the website. I made a mistake with the zip code because I recently moved.
The package languished within the USPS system due to the confusion, or the simply stole my silver. I alerted Apmex of the error and they said I had to go through USPS since it was shipped. The USPS said they had to return the package to Apmex due to the shipping error. Meanwhile all of this took place around the holidays when the USPS was swamped.
The package was never sent back to Apmex (as far as i know) and i certainly never got it. After starting an investigation in early Dec, Apmex sent me an email two weeks later saying they concluded the investigation and basically there was nothing they could do. Use the correct address next time was the message. So what is the point of insurance and tracking packages if they are going to respond that way.
The insult is they probably submitted an insurance claim and got made whole while I lost my money. It would be even worse if the USPS finally got through the holiday glut and sent the package back meaning they got their insurance money and their product back and Im the sucker.
I will never do business with this company again. Its about Principle and they have none.

Only one out of their mind would purchase anything from this company APMEX. Their Supervisor John Nguyen is extremely rude, his associates have zero customer service skills, hang up on you and make you wait longer and longer when they recognize your number.
I have reported them to the FTC. I also have not received the silver that I purchased from them. John, with the chip on his shoulder, will not let you speak, will keep demeaning you by speaking over your voice. Complaints have zero tolerance from this company, they won't hear them.
Bought a kilo of silver and it is nowhere in sight, no tracking, nothing. I told them I would prefer they request a call back on the package and they resend it via UPS OR refund me but this rude person said No. Is this the customer service we have in the USA? Is this acceptable to most people?
I recommend purchasing from the US Gold Bureau or any other mint than from this third class seller. ZERO Stars.
