API Tree stands, used to be a good company. Now if you call the phone number, it's out of service, now you can't find parts for the climbing stands, now you can't talk to a human being to even try to order a part for the stand! I'm lucky I can still find climbing chains. Bass pro really needs to step up Their game! API used to mean " dependability".
User's recommendation: If Bass pro refuses to stock API parts, the consumer should go to the Summit tree stand web site! stand.

Pros
- Good stands
Preferred solution
A real phone number, to order parts.
Dont buy a climber with a chain that wraps trunk
The coating on chain wore out and chain gets caught on any part of tree that extends a 1/2" from trunk This causes the climber to stuck on the tree

The box my ladderstand came in did not include any assembly instructions or hardware
I have been attempting to get some one to talk to about this problem but no one answers any calls and the damn computer will not let me contact unless I pay $5 which is suppose to be refundable. I do not want to give you my credit card number. I need someone to contact me so I can get assembly instructions and hardware. Mike Carney 1-81*-899-****

Climbing stand recall
I have an API climbing stand that I am considering selling but want to make sure it is not a recalled stand. It is a Hi-Point two-piece stand, but I cannot find model no. anywhere. It does not resemble the stand pictured in the CPSA recall notice. Please advise. Grimsley Graham 479 270-****

Looking for stirrups or straps for API magnum
Magnum stand is thicker and accommodates hunters up to 350 pounds. I am on dialysis and currently weigh 205 pounds I looked for stirrups for the thicker frame but cannot find any. I bought the summit stirrups and they do fit around the thicker frame. I would also consider straps as I have seen on youtube an example of this sort of bringing the base of my climber up the tree. Any help or suggestions helpful. TY rhubbard4@***.rr.com Waiting in Wisconsin

The summit stirrups do not fit the API Magnum treestand as they are too small in diameter. I have tried to make stirrups by hand but do not feel they are as safe as manufactured stirrups. Straps may be a better alternative since there may not be a production stirrup for this heavier treestand that has 1 inch chains on it.
