- - Purchased Futura Whole House System in Nov 2019; problems began within weeks.
- - Customer service ignored the issue and refused returns; $1500 lost.
Apec Water offered 50% refund and I keep unit, which is useless to me and them. I have received 50% refund, but I have major problem with dinnerware, eating utensils, sinks, toilets, wherever water had to be with staining that I cannot remove.
They, Apec Water are not interested in this problem so I will have to try and get cleaned what I can and replace items such as dinnerware-utensils. Not a very good solution but I guess I was lucky to get 50% refund.
What Apec Water should change in their brochure is that these units are not good if you are on well water. Don't know if they will or not but if you are on city water this unit will work , maybe.
I HAVE HAD WATER CONDITIONERS FOR OVER 40 YEARS AND DECIDED TO TRY A SALT FREE UNIT TO POSSIBLY GET AWAY FROM THE SALT CONTENT AND THE EXTRA ADDED EXPENSE OF HAVING TO BUY SALT PLUS THE SALT SYSTEM RUNS ON ELECTRIC SO I WAS WANTING TO GET RID OF THOSE EXPENSES. I TRIED APEC WATER SYSTEMS AFTER READING THERE WEB SITE BUT NOW KNOW THERE WEB SITE DOES NOT TELL YOU EVERYTHING-I MENTIONED I HAVE WELL WATER AND THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD WORK FINE. WRONG IT DOES NOT
PURCHASED A FUTURA WHOLE HOUSE SYSREM IN NOV. 2019--HAVE HAD PROBLEMS FROM THE FIRST THREE WEEKS- WROTE TO THEM AND THEY DID NOT BELEIVE ME AND JUST TRIED TO GET RID OF ME-I RECENTLY SENT THEM A LETTER EXPLAINING MY PROBLEM-THEY CALLED AND TOLD ME MY WATER DOES NOT MEET THEIR REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS SYSTEM-TRYING TO RETURN AND GET REFUND THEY ARE IGNORING ME-ASKED FOR A RETURN AUTHORIZATION , THEY ARE NOT HELPING ME AND I OUT $1500.00 AND A SYSTEM THAT IS RUINING MY DINNERWARE,SINKS,TOILETS AND A DISGUSTING TASTE IN ALL MY FOOD AND DRINK STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY WILL ERACE YOUR COMMENTS ON THEIR WEB SITE SO THEY ONLY SHOW FAVORITE COMMENTS--SENT A COMPLAINT TO THE BBB IN CA. DON'T KNOW IF THAT WOULD HELP, BUT I'M TRYING EVERYTHING I CAN TO GET MY MONEY BACK OR HAVE THIS SYSTEM FIXED WHICH I DON'T THINK THEY CAN FIX IT
