They keep breaking my ability to sync email using outlook

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Outlook sync broken; fix costs $29/mo, then $19/mo.
  • - They push paying to fix it; site is ad-filled.

They're breaking my ability to sync email using outlook. Then want $29.

a month to fix it. When I say no, they lower it to the top $19.

I still say no but they continue to tell me how happy I'll be if I give them money to fix what they intentionally broke.

It seems my only choice is to pay the extortion or use their website that filled with ads.

I found this article "Verizon sells media businesses including Yahoo and AOL to Apollo for $5 billion

PUBLISHED MON, MAY 3 2021"

It appears Apollo is intentionally breaking me to extort money. Twice in the past 2 weeks.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution

User's recommendation: Stay clear of aol. I was forced when verizon fios gave mail to them.

Msnbc news on Aol

AI Highlights
  • - Longtime AOL user since 1995 plans to cancel.
  • - Says a $4.99 monthly fee was to be removed.
  • - Calls AOL's top news story biased and not news.

Let's see how much "support" I will get. I have been using AOL since 1995.

Its time to pack in aol and say goodbye. Come to think of my last conversation with AOL I was informed that the $4.99 im charged each month will be removed. Lol, its been months since that conversation. Oh, the conversation was recorded as I was told for I believe training purposes.

Maybe go find it? If you want me to stay on board its very simple MSNBC" childish reporting about the Forensic Ballot Audit is going on as I type in AZ. What they find will be reported God or bad. I don't need to hear how the Republicans are fantasizing on basically seeing Biden replaced by Trump.

Bottom line its a childish made up opinion, most importantly ITS NOT THE NEWS. That said its the top story on your news page. So its as much the fault of the idiot at Aol putting that on the page. For the record I'm no Trumper just your average Joe, a life long Democrat who's seeing the news being a puppet by the Puppeter.

This country is looking like a freaking Banana Republic.

Put up actual news. I can always by the Globe or Enquirer is I want to cut its the same crop im seeing on my AOL news Channel.....

Unethical Business Practices

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Email stopped; AOL advised purchasing a $15/month Yahoo Plus plan to fix it.
  • - Yahoo couldn't fix it; I canceled the plan and was not refunded.

My AOL/Verizon email was working the beginning of the week, and a day later I received a message that my email was invalid, so I called AOL Email Support. After holding for almost an hour, I reached a representative, who told me I needed to purchase a monthly Yahoo Plus Tech Support Plan for $15 a month to fix the problem, which I did.

They said they would transfer me over to Tech Support, but I got disconnected instead. I continued to try to reach Yahoo Tech Support but kept getting a busy signal, so tried to reach them through AOL Customer Service, but each time I was transferred I received a busy signal. At 3 AM I was still trying to reach Yahoo Tech Support and finally did, only to be told that they can not fix my email problem, as they did not have access to my account. I was told to call back after 8 AM, but once more I got a busy signal.

I finally called AOL Customer Service and cancelled my Yahoo Plus Tech Support Plan, but was told I would not be refunded the $15, even though I cancelled the plan the day after I signed up for it.

Felt I was sold the plan under false pretenses. AOL Customer Service tried to discourage me from canceling my plan, telling me they would give me a discount if I kept the plan, but I told them not to send me any emails, just cancel the plan, period.

Loss:
$15

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Do not buy this plan, as it is a waste of money.

There is more false information out there! AOL needs to be more neutral!

User's recommendation: Less political. More neutral.
