Last minute breach of contract. Never paid the 2K agreemenr.

This company actively pursued me to sign a contract and then I never had any correspondence that I didnt initiate. Every time I checked in to see what was going on I was assured that everything was on track.

Days before I was set to move out and rent another place. They canceled the contract. The only reason I was provided was that they were unable to afford to buy any homes at this time.

I got fake apologies and told I would receive 2K for their breach on contract.I never saw the money and I was never able to get a return call or email from them ever again. Its been three months.

Because your agent has continued to lie

We signed an agreement with this company to sell our mothers house. They were great until the suddenly decided to break the contract.

They told us we would get the earnest money several times but we still haven't gotten it. I would avoid this company at all costs because their word is worth nothing.

Unprofessional and deceitful

This company breached our contract. They offered a price, had me sign a contract which stated they placed $5000 in earnest money towards closing on a title company that had no knowledge of our deal.

They waited until the last day possible to back out of the contract, but gave no prior written notice as stated in the contract. They told me to prepare on my end. I turned in notice at my work and placed a contingent agreement on a new home with their contract as proof of funds. They gave me an offer 60k less than our contract and then told me I could do nothing about it.

I have contacted a lawyer who says they can lose their license for breach of contract and consequential damages suffered.

They deserve to be put out of business. Stay away from these scammers.

Dreadful people to get involved with especially real estate.

My brother was victimized by ANT buys houses. Hes elderly and terminally ill, they falsified documents attempting to steal his home.

No money was exchanged. We caught up to their criminal activity just in time to save his property from ANT. We reported it to the FBI, Real Estate Commission, Attorney Generals Office, etc. An investigation is underway.

Avoid them at all costs. They have an F credit rating with the Better Business Bureau and there are countless testimonials online about their attempts to destroy peoples lives.

No response from Ant Buys Houses so we have proceeded legally. Too bad they are so shameless!!

Original review Aug 20, 2023
Please read this review carefully as I am trying to help everyone save time, aggravation and perhaps a lot of money. Read why you would be well advised to avoid Ant Buys Houses like the bubonic plague.

I also attach our documents so you can verify all the information I am sharing. Ant Buys Houses and the owner Anthony Pintaro run a deceitful, untruthful and dishonorable company! We will be filing complaints with the B.B.B., the Office of the Attorney General, the C.F.P.B., the FTC and are preparing a civil lawsuit and are asking anyone who has had a similar experience to please contact us at dna5@***.com so that we can discuss with you joining and/or helping our complaint against Ant Buys Houses. Now a summary of our experience; Six months ago I started receiving calls from Ant" concerning buying our home for cash.

I eventually accepted their offer but they asked later if they might have a short period of time to try to flip the house to another buyer. I did agree to this but we also agreed and it was clearly stated in our contract that Ant would be required to put down an "earnest money deposit to hold the house, that would be forfeited in case they pulled out of the agreement. This is normal procedure. We agreed that Ant" had one week after signing the contract for due diligence to both have the property professionally inspected, and conduct a walk through, which they did with their own contacts.

For this week only, they could also pull out of the contract without any penalty. After this, they were contractually obligated to honor the terms of the contract which clearly specifies that after this one week due diligence period they could not pull out of the contract without losing their deposit.
Over the following month, they asked me for three different variations in the contract which I obliged but none of these addendums, altered their obligation to forfeit the earnest money deposit in case they broke the contract. After almost two months of them widely advertising my property, I find out from THEIR title company, that they had decided unilaterally to pull out of the deal. I was not initially concerned at this time about the "earnest money" deposit because I had received confirmation from Sydney Jenkins, the officer at Ant appointed to my case that she had already sent the wire to their Title Company AND SHE ALSO SENT ME A COPY OF THE WIRE RECEIPT!Then, later, I also hear from Ants local real estate agent that not only had Ant unilaterally decided to cancel the contract without letting me know, but that they had no intention to forfeit the earnest money deposit as required by the contract.

I contacted Anthony, the owner, and at first he also assured me that the earnest money had been deposited to the title company, just as Sydney had previously lied to me. Then, finally, Anthony comes clean with two false and ridiculous excuses that in the first week of the contract, more than 6 weeks previously, I had not allowed a second walk through of my property and that the house had not passed inspection. Both of these excuses were 100% FALSE and RIDICULOUS because Anthony didnt invent these lies until long AFTER the due diligence period had expired and AFTER asking me to sign the three addendums in the weeks following that same expiration. In other words they blatantly came up with this nonsense only after advertising my house for 2 months on the open market with THEIR local real estate agency hoping to flip it for a quick profit and never actually intending to purchase it at all, even though they repeatedly wrote in both the contracts and their addendums that they were the buyer of the property.

When they couldnt make a quick profit by flipping it, they brazenly violated the contract inventing out of thin air. Save yourself the hassle, the deceit, the wasted time and the lies and find an honest company to work with!

Dont believe the fake reviews, and please contact us at dna5@***d or (305) 903-**** and help us put a stop to Ants dishonest practices! Your assistance is appreciated!

Getting involved with ANT in a real estate transaction is one of those things that I will always regret. Avoid them like the plague if youre wanting to sell your home.

Requesting a quote from them to buy your home will be the start of your problems with them. Crooks.
