Nearly killed our puppy
- - Routine vaccination caused severe adverse events for our puppy.

Animal Clinic of Spring Grove nearly killed our 2-year old puppy pug. What was supposed to be a routine vaccination turned into a nightmare that continues to this day (about 1 year later).
Without informed consent, Dr. C. proceeded to administer several vaccinations one after the other. That night our pup became lethargic with vomiting and a loss of appetite.
We immediately brought him back to the vet, they injected him with a b12 shot --no improvement We called the vet the next day in a panic, our usually excited, playful puppy's condition was deteriorating. Dr. L answered informing us that Dr. C wasn't there that day.
I called back 3min later and --upon asking the receptionist--Dr. C was magically in the office that dayseems they were hiding from their mistake. When I asked "What can we do, is there a test? What could this be?' Dr.
C replied, "I don't know, what do you think it is?" I was left speechless. The next morning our pug lost consciousness and fell down the stairs. We rushed him to the nearest emergency vet where they diagnosed him with a medication induced thrombocytopenia, stating he was hours from death. He now suffers from an incurable autoimmune condition where his body now attacks itself brought on by overmedication administered by ACSG.
At no point were tests run by ACSG or an attempt to diagnose.
It's our opinion that ACSG acted in flagrant disregard of the potential consequences of aggressive and reckless overmedication and as a result has caused irreversible harm to our dog. Please, take your pet elsewhere.
