Review from West Palm Beach, Florida

I have also taken injured wildlife to veterinary hospitals, but usually only to put the animal out of misery. While I expect any business to treat people with kindness and be helpful, I don't expect that business to take on any cost. Why is it that you expected Dr.Harris to examine and treat the dove when you weren't willing to pay anything toward its care? If vets don't get paid for their time and costs, they don't stay in business and then we all lose. Not only do people expect vets to help injured wildlife and strays, they also feel entitled to discounts for rescued animals from a shelter, store, street, whatever. What other business can you name that gives away their goods and services? If you're mad a Dr. Harris (whom I do not know personally, nor have I ever used him as my vet) you should also be mad at yourself. Neither of you were willing to pay.

This is Animal and Avian Medical Center in Brunswick, Ohio. We have never had a Dr Harris on staff.

I do know their is another veterinary clinic with a similar name in Florida. Could that be the one you are referring to?

Dr. Not Available in Emergency with established patient

My two parrots have been generally examined and treated by Dr. Harris at a cost of over $600 at this visit. I did this because I know he is the best with birds and I wanted to be established in case of emergency. When the time came he simply was not available and I was told to call the CDC. I knew Dr. Harris prior to this A&A medical center, before he was mightier than god and cost a lot less, even though he treated birds at Parrot Jungle. He was expert then, this is so, but he didn't have the mightier than thy attitude he has now and projects to his student, aides. It is sad, but I am going to return to have my African Grey checked for a couple of problems I am worried about.
