Let down and no communication for 2 days
Terrible beyond words
Sat here still waiting for my windows to
be fitted after being let down yesterday !
Not one phone call to let us know they
were not coming yesterday morning and
they apparently know the evening before
that the engineer had an accident loading
the van. They should have contacted us
early yesterday morning but instead I had
to contact them after taking the day off
work.
After complaining the manager rang
me and said we will have to come out
next week so I said it's not good enough I
can't take more time of work. I phoned
customer complaints and they got him to
ring me back again.
He told me they
would come out again TODAY and I'm
still sat here! Clever move as they know
you can't contact them as the phone lines
are only Monday to Friday also the
managers phone just goes to voicemail!
I want compensation or a refund as I'm
not wasting no more time.

Do Not Use Anglian Windows
I am very disappointed with this untrustworthy company (Anglian Home Improvement & Windows).
Unfortunately, they have stolen my deposit of £250 which I paid for the installation of three windows. Approximately, five months have passed and the installation has not commenced.
I have contacted them on numerous occasions and got fobbed of with the excuse that it has been passed to the legal team and they will contact me. When I enquire as to when I will be contacted no date or time was given.
I now have to contact my credit card company to see if I can cancel the payment.
Please, do not use this company as they will steal your money.

Broken handle
Handle not working. Cannot move it at all to open or close the window.
We have already contacted you before and got sent a new handle. Apart from not being able to move the handle to reach the bottom screw we would not be able to fix it anyway. My husband is disabled and I am nearly 80 and not able to fix it. I should therefore be grateful for an engineer to come and fix the window.
It has been awful in this hot weather not to be able we to open the window.
Would like someone to call as soon as possible. Thank you

Dissatisfied customer
We approached Anglian home improvements for a price for a 3m x3m extension to our home-
Although they where not the cheapest £32,000.00 we decided to employ them for all the usual reasons , national company, established, etc.
Well what can we say-
Firstly, what should have taken 4 weeks resulted in the project taking 4 plus months.Unfortunatly since becoming involved with Anglian we have now found that We should consider ourselves lucky.
We’ve since learnt that some people have had to wait longer
1) promise everything but fail to deliver-
2) no schedule of works- although these had been agreed-
3)inadequate project management-
4) no schedule of works received although asking and being promised we never received them.
5) 4 sets of incorrect technical drawings. To date we have never received these corrected drawings.
6) No communications, This company has the worse case of poor communications I have ever experienced. Don’t answer emails, don’t answer phone calls, don’t reply to messages left. When calling Anglian you only find your so called manager to be on a conference call and then you .are ignored.
7) Customer complaint; the information leaflet is incorrect.
8) Complaints; you only seem to get the standard answer but, with nothing being done about your complaint.
9) We were forced to wait 5 weeks for the poll to open/close the velux window.
I must point out, That we cannot fault or complain about the workforce. They were GREAT, BRILLIANT especially the guys who did the footings and brick work.
The whole complaint is with the Anglian management and the inadequate project management.
The only thing the management team has efficiently demonstrated was their speed at asking for payment.
We are still waiting for them to come and snag one item. The project manager promised he would get someone to come and do this snag but, some three months later no one has attended.

Took a deposit and has failed to return it
I asked Anglian to instal an arched, porch door. After taking a deposit [basically an interest free loan for them] they spun out the process of: assessment/survey/projected installation date/etc and then cancelled the project on some spurious excuse that they could not manufacture it.
This is nonsense as 3 other companies have all said it is possible and one has been a made a template of the aperture. They then said my deposit would be returned within 10 to 21 days; that was 23 days ago. I think this is a scam. They are doing an American Airlines; taking money and having absolutely no intention of supply the goods or returning your deposit without a fight.
And I'm not the only one. Research on other "customer complaint" sites seem to show they are doing this regularly.
I'm only thankful my initial invest was £300; others are waiting for the return of substantial sums. I have other more substantial projects in the pipeline such as the installation of a porch and conservatory - Anglian will not be invited to tender.
Preferred solution: Full refund
Refund
I’m really disappointed with Anglian at the moment.
Back in May one of your sales advisors quoted a window placement for my flat, but the job required approval from the building management. I told him I was going to wait to get approval before we went ahead with the job, but the sales advisor pressured me to close the deal on the spot, saying he was getting me a better price for it, and guaranteed that if the management did not approve the works I would get a full refund of my deposit.
A few weeks later, after a few backs and forth with the management company, they denied us permission to do the work.
On July 4th I called Anglian and asked for a cancellation and for the refund of my deposit, which I was guaranteed to receive within two weeks. It’s now been over two months and I’ve had to call Anglian 3 times already, and no one seems to be able to help me retrieve my deposit.
Today I called once more and it was the first time someone was honest wit me and said there’s been a hold up in the financial department and that they don’t know when I’m getting my money back.
This is just unacceptable.
I’m now finding it very hard to believe all the accreditations on your website and all your supposedly happy customers. If it really is your company’s mission to keep your customers happy you are doing an appalling job.
TOTALLY UNRELIABLE SERVICE
Do not ever allow Anglian to do any work at your home. We ordered a conservatory with them in September 2014 for installation the following August. They came and did the first survey for building control in January and got the dimensions wrong. So wrong that the conservatory would not have fitted within the space available. We then heard nothing from them until I called the office 3 weeks before start date chasing them for the final survey and their reply was that they had no knowledge of our order. They sent a man round the next day to measure again, only to get it wrong again. I explained to him that we had taken time off work for the build which was due to start on Monday 24th August 2015 (in 3 weeks time) and that it had to be done within that time period, as agreed. I checked with the office again on the Thursday before the start date and they said everything was in place to start. NO-ONE TURNED UP ON MONDAY. NO PHONE CALL. NO APOLGY. We then cancelled the order after losing all faith in Anglian.
They then proceeded to take us to court for cancelling. This cost us £6945 for them to NOT to turn up and build a conservatory.
Anglian are, at best, scam merchants who have no idea of customer service, management of jobs, or business ethics.
My advice to anyone who is reading this, do not under any circumstances allow Anglian into your home and never enter into any form of contract with them.
Avoid - Anglian Home Improvements
I purchased a £22k conservatory – to cut a long story short it was a very stressful period of my life dealing with them and ruined 6 months of my life with worry and stress in fact made me ill! We were misled from start to finish of the build, finally 6 months after paying the deposit it was built.
5 months later conservatory started to leak quite badly! We were advised it would need cavity trays fitted at extra cost of thousands of pounds!!! We got a 2nd opinion and found out it was because it had not been built properly and cavity trays are a good idea but not source of the current leaks, still trying to get Anglian to fix the problem a month later, with very little success.
I will be posting a video on you tube soon with our full experience and lots pictures of the build, quality of work, and of leaks of course with water pouring in!!! etc etc, so you have make your own mind up to use them or not!
