Poor service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

A rating of one is too high, but they don't have zero! I took my Tundra in for service in late May of this year and was told I had bad gasoline (too much ethanol).

After they dumped out 35-gallons of fuel and charged me a $290 service fee they informed me I would need to burn through a couple tanks of gas to solve the issues. I drove the vehicle 2000 miles and the codes never cleared not the did the issues go away. I returned to the dealer and they again cleared the codes, but this time they also cleared the CO2 sensors and did a hard reset on the computer. Clearing the sensors and the reset seemed to solve the issues.

I had the fuel tested shortly after the second service and the ethanol content was 10 % (standard). When I informed Chris (the service writer) on Friday June the 18th of the test results, he advised he would talk to the service manager and call me back. It is now July 5th and sill no response from neither he nor the service manager.

My question is why didnt they test the fuel before dumping the gas and do the reset and clearing of sensors on the first service? Needless to say, I will not return to any Andy Mohr dealership for new vehicle purchase or service.

Terrible Service

Had to wait for over 2 hrs to have a simple oil change done

I made the 9:45 appointment several days earlier as thats what they suggest.

Asked the service advisor about the status after 1-1/2 hrs he checked twice and promised 15 minutes each time

Finally asked him to pull the car as I had a 1pm appointment elsewhere

The service manager only made sorry excuses for the long wait. Im through with this dealership

Andy Mohr doesn't give more--they want more

First time went to Andy Mohr Chevrolet, they had a Chevrolet truck with over 100,000 miles, said it ran good. We drive 60 miles to see the truck.

Salesman takes us back to the truck, gives us a key. Starts up, sounds good, but won't move where it sits. I asked if they would take less than $3500 and the salesman said no, they won't take any less. So we left.

We went to the Bloomington store and saw a 2009 RAV4; it was after hours so we called the next day to see if we could take it for a test drive and ask the price. The manager told us we had to have full coverage insurance and a credit app to test drive the car. We decided at that point that we did not want to visit that store. The next experience with Andy Mohr we drove to Avon (another 60 miles one way) and the salesman takes us a ride in a RAV4 that we had seen online.

It was only hitting on 2 cylinders so we told the saleman we did not want that car. Again, left the dealership. Called them again about a 2009 RAV4 and they said it was sold but that they had a 2007 coming in that had 61,000 miles on it. Mike told us they would give us a good deal on it since we had had so much trouble with them.

They told us the 2007 RAV4 would be available on Monday 5/13. But did not bother to tell us what time Monday. So we called Monday morning to come see the vehicle, but was told it would not be there until afternoon. So we called back late afternoon and they told us it would not be there until between 4:30 and 5:30.

We get there and have to wait an hour or more to see the vehicle because they had to get the car cleaned out and the license plate off. We drove the vehicle with the salesman and it made a popping noise in the front end, the muffler was noisy, and the air conditioner vibrated when you turned it on. We told the salesman when we were walking back in the building to see what we could get it for. He came back and said that they were at $10,900 which is what they priced it to us before he said he would give us a good deal.

I told him that I thought they were going to give us a good deal. So, we left the dealership. The next morning, I get on facebook to try to find another one. The first thing I see is this same vehicle for $9,900!!!!

A thousand dollars less than what they priced it to us for and was supposed to be a good deal. This is how Andy Mohr gives you a good deal???

ANDY MOHR ADVERTISES THAT THEY GIVE YOU MORE BUT IN OUR CASE THEY WANTED MORE!!!! I tried calling this morning but Mike won't answer his phone.

There are too many probles to list....

Just beware of this place, look at your paperwork closely. There are hidden fees they try to slide in after you have been sitting in the waiting room for hours to complete your deal.

And there service dept. was very rude.

Horrible car and people

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Bought a car with the understanding certain things would be taken care of before I purchased car, Andy mohr Toyota purposefully turned off a check engine light that was giving off a transmission code and a week later transmission needed replaced. Sales manager Jeremy Wilson shook my hand and lied to my face about reimbursement, fixing, and calling back. Worst car buying experience ever, never shop here for a car go to ray skillman.

Andy Mohr Toyota - Poor Used Car Salesman Tactics Deceitful Practice Review

Was ready to buy the car at sticker then they add on sneaky fees of $500. Dishonest dealership. Not my problem they didn't price the car to make a profit.

This happened to us but they slickly obscured an inflated price on a paper with financing figures they said I wouldn’t want, then wrote a MSRP price with rebate, said this is what I was paying. Then had us sign it.

Later after all contracts signed in finance, when I get home I find the price discrepancy. I asked next day to get it corrected and they would not. Said they could not sell for the agreed price. Margo vouded the sale.

Best thing ever happened.

These guys are thieves. I’m going to State Transportation Dealer Division on this.

VIN etch was $299; not $199.

Original review Sep 09, 2016

Watch for $199 for "Theft Deterrent," a non-VIN glass etching that's useless! Some number plus an 800 number etched. A true VIN etching kit is $24.

Salesman claimed my key isn't chipped, but it is and expensive.

NO remote FOB, said there wasn't one on this vehicle. Not only IS there, but it's $83 plus programming!

It IS and required for alarm AND to reset tire pressure sensors! My alarm goes off every time I enter the vehicle with the key, until I put it in the ignition. The service writer was very rude and told me I need to go to a Chevy dealer and deal with it.

They contact me then NEVER, "...get back to you!" After posting I got asked, once by phone and once by e-mail, about problems. Never any follow-up response!!

AVOID them or watch your itemized listing VERY carefully.

Wrong special order part ordered.

At 9:30 am 7-05-2016 I walked in to Andy Mohr's parts department to special order a driver's side front door scuff for my window. Cost with tax $131.88 and I had to pay for it at that time since it was a special order.

Just for kicks I was searching online to see how much they overcharged me. The part online without tax and shipping is listed as $75.27. Then I discovered another problem. Even though the female clerk walked out to my car with me to get my VIN number, and I showed her on my car the part that was torn, and it was on my driver's side, she ordered the one for the passenger door as the part numbers were exactly the same online at http://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/ I called Andy Mohr parts to verify she had ordered the wrong one, and I asked if I could cancel the order so I could just order it online since they had made this error and needed to cancel the part and reorder it anyway.

This was the clerks reply: Special orders can't be cancelled and besides that there is a 10% service charged for returns. I just laughed at him, because it is exactly what I expected them to say. Good customer service would have been to just cancel the order and return my money to my account since the wrong part had been ordered by them initially and discovered by me the customer. I had gone to this specific Toyota dealership because I am extremely dissatisfied with the one in my local town.

Now I have decided that I do not like any of them nor can I trust them. Buyer beware!

This place is horrible

Took Toyota highlander in to get heater fixed, it wasn't totally broken, it would work intermittently if you played with the heater dial. Andy Mohr Toyota said that they could solder the circuit board for what seemed to be a fair price and the service guy said they have had good luck soldering this piece and have never had one returned.

Service department called said car was done, picked it up only to find out the heater wouldn't shut off, rear window defroster and air conditioner didn't work as well as the recirculate button. So someone didn't test drive it to make sure everything worked, anyway there was a huge lack of communication so back to Toyota I drove. No one told me the car was in worse shape than it was when I brought it in. Service manager and others seemed to be lacking people skills as everyone seemed a little rude and unwilling to offer some sort of help....maybe a small discount, how about a free car rental since you had it for two days and I just paid you guys $1526.81.

Instead the offer I got was "sorry Dale, there's nothing we can do" Now my wife and I have owned Toyotas since 1977 and this dealership has now pissed me off twice to the point where my wife and I are finished with Toyota.

We will find someone else to work on the 3 Toyotas we own.

Extended warranty

I m so disappointed in what i was sold . i was told i was getting a five year deal or sixty thousand mile warranty instead i got a three year warranty why would anybody want to pay for five and get only three .

It i s still under factory warranty so i guess i have to pay for that too. This is a 2014 with 12, 688 miles .

I was never offered anything else .Of course they wouldn t do anything about this when we ask them about it .I m not sure how they get away with this practice J. Turner

Andy Mohr Toyota - Worst Dealer Ever!

We purchased a vehicle (lemon) from this dealer "as is" last month. We accept the fact that the car is "as is" and with many problems (undisclosed to us).

However, we still do NOT have the title to the vehicle. It has been over 30 days and no title. We have called and asked several times, and visited the license branch, and nothing! Today, we contacted the Office of the Indiana Secretary of State Dealer Services about the title.

And, we were informed that since the dealer did not meet the 21 day deadline and did NOT produce the title when requested/demanded, that we had the legal right to return the vehicle for a complete refund. So, we returned the vehicle...or attempted to return it today. The General manager, Eric Wilson, refused and the finance guy refused.

And, of course, they still do not know where the title is...we were advised by the state Dealer Division to file the complaint so they could handle it. But, we still do not have a title :-(

Andy Mohr does not return customer complaints

For over six months I tried to get Andy Mohr to return e-mails to me without success. Then I drove to Lafayette location only to be told to go to 38th street.

I go to Avon location to be told the same thing. I had to call Debbie Knox to get any attention and they still did nothing. Chad Lowe sends me a letter saying no recalls. But National Traffic Safety Administration says l recall on struts.

I drive to Avon to be strong armed my white manager who prints out CarMax that says no recalls. That Safercar is not reliable. He knows best. I also say a very nice salesman black a Gemini that was very helpful and kind.

So who is telling the truth. Mr Mohr never got any e-mails because his secretary is too busy and he is out of the country. Well is I get into an accident then what? Why would I want to buy another Chrevrolet Prizm/LSI?

What kind a man is Mr Mohr anyhow. He wants to sell you a car but if you need answers or service he has his people send you all over the place. Struts, air bags and ignition switches are vital to the safety of this car. I told him I would persue legal action if something happens and I would be saving all correspondence to prove my case.

I don't believe the white manager at the Avon location. He was over bearing. Sticking his finger on my report saying I had an accident. Yes someone rear ended me.

But I did not get into a accident myself.

I feel he was trying to get me confussed maybe I would just get up and leave. I am Deborah.deborah600@***.com
