Road tar removal

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Tar splashed the right side of my Equinox.
  • - At Andy Mohr Collision Center, they cleaned it in about 45 minutes for free with friendly service.

I drove through major road tar or a road sealant in Greencastle, In. When I arrived home I realized I had tar splashed down the whole right side of my Equinox.

I had never seen such a mess. I cleaned on it some myself, but soon realized I needed help with the removal process. I stopped at Andy Mohr Collision Center to see if they could tell me what to us to clean my car. They were able to help me on the spot.

One of the employees, that dose body work there, came over and started spraying it with a cleaner. Forty five minutes later, my car was clean. He made it look so easy. But I know from the work I did on the car, it took a lot of "elbow grease".

Everyone I came in contact with at the Collision Center was very friendly and helpful. They did not charge me for the clean up. The one thing they didn't know was that my husband had passed away just a month ago, and dealing with car issues is not my long suit.

I am so thankful for businesses that still treat people with kindness. Thanks so much.

Pros:
  • I liked the way i was treated

Andy Mohr Collision Plainfield, IN

AI Highlights
  • - Camry pulled left after repair.
  • - Six alignment points were needed; one bent ball joint from the collision prevented it; insurance paid most costs.

Andy Mohr Management,

After having a repair completed at Andy Mohr Collision Center of my 2011 Camry Hybrid on October 3rd 2012, it became apparent to my wife and I that the vehicle was pulling slightly to the left. Knowing that it had nearly 30,000 miles on it I decided to have an alignment done. While at the same time knowing that the collision involved the front of the vehicle and that it included having part of the frame replaced and welded, I assumed that the collision center would have the alignment checked and became concern.

I took the Camry to Tom Wood on Lafayette in the interest of non bias service and researching various service experiences at Toyota dealerships. After the the alignment was completed it was brought to my attention that 6 points of alignment had to be brought into compliance and that one could not because the ball joint control arm had been bent, obviously as a result of the collision. The repair bills came to $1450.25 of which my insurance paid $1335.66.

I reviewed the collision repair statement issued by the collision center and there is on information showing that the alignment was even checked, let alone done. Restitution in the form of coupons or something should be the result of this incident although I do not expect anything. My objective is simply to make the management staff at Andy Mohr aware of what happen.

Regards, Gary E. Short

Gary,

I would recommend you contact the collision center that repaired your vehicle, all of our facilities back their work. I also would contact your insurance company in most collision claims they also complete an estimate for repair and have a plan for missed items.

If there is anything I can do to assist you please feel free to contact me,

Thank You

Tommy Proffer
