Good products, not so good customer service

I really like their products. But customer service is a deal breaker for me. If something goes wrong with your order you are dead to them.

Product Order Cancelled Twice

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AMSOIL - Product Order Cancelled Twice

Hello, I have reached out to customer service at 800-777-**** regarding this order, and have received a less than satisfactory response to my complaint.

The order was initially placed 3/16 and was then advised it was cancelled apparently by your third party order confirmation outfit due to a mismatch between shipping and billing address. After explaining that we travel full time, and pointing out that we have placed numerous orders before, with same billing address but all with different ship to's, and FOR THE SAME EXACT ITEMS, I was told by the rep it would be corrected.

Almost a month later, when I arrived at the ship-to address, my order had not arrived.

I contacted Customer Service, they were somewhat apologetic, blamed it on a third party they use to verify orders, but both reps said my only choice was to re enter the order online AND contact the accounting department to confirm/ensure that the order would not suffer the same fate as the original order.

Since it was no fault of mine that the order was rejected twice (and disappeared from my order history, except I had a copy of the email), I am very disappointed that your reps and Amsoil did not offer to re-enter the order and/or offer to expedite delivery of the replacement order.

That's the least they can do for a customer.

I've sent an online inquiry and also an email to Customer Service, and have not heard back. Obviously, they don't care about an individual customer.

I do have other options for quality motor oils and associated products (oil test kits, filters) and prefer to discontinue business with entities that do not appreciate customers and extend the slightest courtesy to restore confidence in your brand.

At least Uk customer support will not help you with simple questions

Distributors of your oil in the UK are making you an anti-advertisement. I wanted to buy Amsoil 5w30 Singnature, I asked many distributor sellers in Uk and official representatives of your oil about the production date.

Nobody wants to answer me. This is sick and lame. in the sack, the customer service department has your oil somewhere, which is a pity, because I got so hot on it and wanted to buy it. I won't decide to buy Amsoil oil without getting any information from the distributor or seller.

Everyone doesn't have time or they have a customer somewhere.

I will probably forced to buy another oil maybe Motula, at least there is the date of production. Here is a company that makes you anti advertising Business details

Use in my POV and had occasion to run it in a fleet of limousines with incredible results. I have never had to wait more than two days to get an order.

In all this time had 1 flub on an order and they overnighted the correct oil. This stuff is expensive, but it has lived up to its specs right along.

2018 New Amsoil Formulation

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The new 2018 Amsoil formulated Signature Motor Oil has a serious problem. I have a 2016 RAM 1500 Hemi and my wife has a 2006 Honda Pilot with only 35K miles.

Neither car ever used a drop of oil but once we changed the oil using the new formulation of 5W-20 Signature Series Oil both cars started using oil. Several of us who ATV together all use Amsoil and two other people experienced the same problem.

Engines that never used a drop of oil now are using a quart of oil every 2K to 3K miles.

I have used Amsoil for 15 years with no issues so I called Amsoil customer service and they did not seem to take my complaint seriously and effectively ignored my information. I think they have a VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM that they either are ignoring or failing to acknowledge.

I'm a first time customer. Always heard great things about Amsoil, HOWEVER not so sure about all the hipe.

Started using in 2013 GMC Serria 4wd, never used oil before per say, always changed oil between 5 and 7k, NEVER had ck eng light on.. Now using amsoil 5w20 using 1 qt every 2k with ck eng light on P0521 oil pressure.. Never had any problems with oil I changed with or dealership OEM oil ..

I bought extra for 2nd oil change , but for the price and the results, will finish using what I have but will NEVER buy again.. VERY SAD for the price and hipe!!

See me comment re "incorrect usage".

You are using the wrong oil. Your Jeep calls for 5W20, so why are you not using the ?

Chrysler (FCA) motors are VERY fussy about what lube is in them. Shame on you for complaining.

Amsoil locked up the clutch on my Triumph motorcycle

Purchased a qt. of Amsoil synthetic motorcycle last year to use in my 1972 Triumph Bonneville motorcycle, primary chain case.

After a while I noticed the clutch was getting sticky and soon after locked up completely. The clutch plates came out in one hunk. Is there some product I can use to clean the Barnett clutch plates, to be free of your Amsoil so I can re- assemble. I have tried kerosene, solvent etc.

Not having any luck cleaning the clutch plates so they are not sticky. Your Amsoil really did a number on my Triumph, can't ride it anymore.

Any suggestions on how to clean those clutch plates? Tom Oleksy 231-547-**** tmgunson44@***.com

Terrible, worst customer service in the industry

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This am I placed an on line order with Amsoil. It took me three hours to order four items.

Once I got everything through and receiveed my shipping conformation, Amsoil shipped my products to somewhere in Texas. I redid the order and it did it again. I call Amsoil, waited 22 minutes to get answered and was stuck on hold. Had to cancel the original order and reorder and what a total waste of time.

I have used Amsoil for decades as did my father. But this is my last order. The hassell in ordering has gotten to be too much. You can not reach anyone, takes a hour some time to get help if then, the online odering system is a complete joke.

I will be forwarding an email to our 17,000 employees to cease from doing any business with Amsoil in their perspective divisions. In addition, I will be cancelling my personal account with Amsoil and will take to social media warning the general, public of the poor customer service they can expect from Amsoil. In a time when customer service is falling by the wayside, it's sad to see Amsoil is following the herd, forsaking customer service and those which helped build their company. Trust me, this will eventually cost Amsoil Millions in revenue in the future.

I plan on doing my part to insure it. One very unhappy x customer.

Amsoil metal protector

I bought a 8.75 oz can of metal protector --used it some---it sat for awhile---went to use it---it would not spray--it was like the propellant was gone----called amsoil----talked to 2 different people there---they said tough luck did not want to help at all---with out a receipt they would not do anything---I said I don't save receipts for a 8-to -10.00 item --they just lost a customer when I used what little I did use out of the can it did seem to work

Great Stuff

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have used Amsoil products for several years

Great stuff.

I wish more folks knew and used this great product.

I had a car that got 12 MPG when I bought.

A couple of years later after changing the oil and transmission to Amsoil, we got near 20 MPG on a long trip. (about 6 hrs not stop highway driving).

I really like their spray oils and grease also.

I even use it in my lawnmower engine, (Small Engine oil)

I also, like their chainsaw oil and two cycle oils.

Great stuff Amsoil.

In my mind top of the line products.
