Never again

You think you paid everything, then at delivery you have to pay customs; 30% of total order value. Contact form on website does not work, Live Chat neither. Then when checking the site you find the customs info hidden somewhere deep inside. Amor Moda claims they have no control over custom fees. That might be true, but it would be nice if there was a proper notice displayed. The site is in the local language suggesting the goods come from a nearby location. Would we have known the goods were actually shipped from China, we would not have ordered at all.

Wasn't expecting a Customs fee. Service was quick; I would order again

I ordered a dress with custom measurements on August 23 and received it today. It is a mother of the bride strapless chiffon dress (Item 00701**** shown in white; ordered in dark green). The quality of the dress is fine. I also ordered a bolero jacket with it (chiffon). Both the dress and the jacket are a bit big; the jacket may be my fault with the measurements. I am waiting to hear from them tomorrow, as it may be easier for them to just make another jacket than for the shrug jacket to be altered. I can easily have the dress altered and it will not be that costly. My measurements span from a 16W bust to 20W hips, so I am not sure if they just gave me the larger size, but I'd rather it come too big than too small. I will have to take the dress to the cleaners to have it steamed as it is slightly wrinkled. They were very communicative via email, thus so far I can complain about the quality or the service. What I was surprised about was the $46.00 brokerage fee from US Customs; that had to be paid to the UPS driver before he could leave it. As he could only take a check, instead I called UPS and was able to pay it on line and he came back with the pkg a half hour later. I don't have a picture right now, but once it is steamed, I will post a picture with this review.

Not Satisfied With Quality of Dress

I ordered a dress on this site and when I received the dress the beading in the center looked very cheap and was not what I was expecting based on the picture. I emailed a request to return the dress and all I received was an offer for a discount. Why did the reject my request for a refund?? Because THEY didn't agree that the quality of the dress was cheap!! I thought customer satisfaction was important, but that obviously is not the rule at Amormoda. I will never order from there again! Not only am I pissed that I loss money on this order, but the response I received was insulting! They basically said: not only are we keeping your money, but as a dissatisfied customer, we ask you to come back and spend more money on our cheap products to receive a discount.

Disappointment

I ordered a dress from Amor Moda 3 weeks before a black tie event, spending nearly $250 with shipping costs. At the time I placed the order, we knew the timeframe would be tight to get the dress in time, but according to the company, they would be able to accomplish it. The shipping deadline came and went with no information from the company. My husband contacted them to find out this is their "busy season" and that the dress was still being made. The dress shipped out from Hong Kong the day after I should have had it in my hands in Utah. In spite of my husband asking the company to rush the shipment, they sent it the slowest method possible, which means I don't have the dress in time for the event for which it was specifically ordered. Had they made an effort to send it as fast as possible, I would have had the dress 2 days before the event. Instead I'm left finding another solution, and this dress will sit in my closet until some unknown day in the future when I might go on a cruise. Not happy.
