AmeriFirst Home Mortgage - Loan Remodification

Mr. Solomon, I know that you are a busy man, I have wrote letters to you on several occasion asking for your help on the remodification of my loan which I have been told you/your firm holds.

I have ask if you would write it off, I also asked if you would lower the interest rate and I've been told you will from 14.99 percent-to 3 percent.and for this I say thank you so much. This tell me that you are not going to write it off and I understand this. I've been told with the interest rate change you are extending the loan out three more years. I am asking you Sir please if you would not extend the loan out any further.

I've also be told you are willing to except $ 194.00 a month which I am willing to pay, however I am not willing the the money be direct pull from my account therefore I've been told that the loan cannot be remodifty. I am asking that you would reconsider. Im in need of you help. Please get back in touch with me you have my address for I have written several letters to you.

I have attached a picture of this 3 ft-5ft pool. It is a very small pool and I havd paid in a great deal of money for the size of this pool. I feel I have paid if off but I am being told I have until 2027 to pay this item off. We feel this was a ripp off toward us and again we are asking for your help because atvthis time we are just unable to pay the previous amount, but more than willing to pay the new amount with tge lower interest rate and no extending of the loan.

I'll be the first to admit we did fall behind on our house payment when unforeseen problems arose. I called the mortgage company and they told me what amount to send and that it HAD to be this certain amount or they wouldn't take our money.

I sent money over night to the bank. Check was cashed and I'm now current on payments. Now, on my credit report they are "reporting" but are saying no payment has been made in 6mos!! I filled a claim to fix this with the credit company and they said the bank said this reporting is correct.

WRONG!!! Who has my money? Where is my money going? My credit score is turning into *** because of YOU after I made things right!

NEVER AGAIN will I use this place and I'm only using this place because my first mortgage company sold it to them.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I will be Using the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) to fix false information you put on my report.

Continued fradulent activity from 02/03/2018 and continue despite federal and local intervention.

Never again will I go through this company for another home again! For the last 4 months I have been trying to make a payment towards my account (which I have plenty in my account to pay for) and they keep coming up with some kind of issue why they can’t pay it, blaming it on everyone BUT THEMSELVES!

I am getting NO WHERE and now it’s looking bad on me! I have called NUMEROUS people and again have gotten no where and EVERYMONTH it’s the same thing!

I DO NOT recommend them! They are TERRIBLE!!!!!!

OMG I can't say enough GREAT things about the Appleton, Wi branch!!

I would say that I/my situation is/wasnt the best or easiest. But Jason went through everything and made it all easy and point blank easy for me. I had nothing but extreme confidence and easy feeling from start to finish!!

And also with todays fast paced needs and quick documents to turn around. Their system and electronic documents made things fast and easy and no need to get up and drive across town the many times needed dealing with real estate agents etc.

They searched many programs and we went with what worked best FOR ME.

There was some mix ups on my end and bank. But they handled all of it without me worrying. I apologized for my issues a few times and my loan officer laughed it all off and stated he deals with that stuff all the time and a pleasure to make it all come together.

Just sign the paper and they did the rest. I would recommend Shelly Starr and Sherry Cords and rest of there team highly. In fact i already have. We love our home.

Its just beautiful.

It's was a very terrible experience I had as a first time home buyer. My escrow account somehow was overpaid and I received a check.

I didn't want it. They said cash it. But I did not learn about my home had been listed for almost five years on every MLS listing as a pre foreclosure auction. And excepting my payment as well.

Complete ***. $25,000 in payments, $25,000 in remodeling. And $70,000 in equity. I owed a $48,000 Dollar home worth $120-130K.

No options, nothing. Just get out.

OK. So how is it possible to have my house on Zillow for almost 5 years as a pre foreclosure auction and current on my mortgage at the same time. Fraud mortgage and fraud signatures saying they work for MERS

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

We were referred to Amerifirst in Perrysburg, OH by our realtor. At first it seemed they were exactly what we needed, we were in need of a mortgage quickly and on employment offers rather than having to wait until we had paystubs. We were promised by our loan originator Tracy that all of this was possible and that she would streamline the process for us. After submitting everything required of us, it wasn't good enough, they required more information from our employers, which was provided, however they said they could not write the loan because my employment start date changed. My employer stated that my start date was pending and because they did not provide the exact new start date, Amerifirst could not write our loan.

Amerifirst also wasted a couple months of our time because they could not lend on the first property we intended to buy because it was zoned commercially. We were unaware it was zoned commercially, but when we gave another lender the address in an attempt to get it financed they were able to see it was commercially zoned right away. Amerifirst did not let us know they could not write the loan until the last second.

Tracy also flat-out lied to us about pulling our credit. She told us she pulled the credit and asked us to spend time on the phone with the credit bureaus correcting information, but upon talking to the credit reporting agency, our credit had not been pulled. On top of it they pulled our credit multiple times which ended up dropping our scores considerably.

In addition, no one there educated us on the process and they never allowed us the talk, let alone ask questions. Tracy would talk incessantly during every conversation and would continue to talk over us if we tried to enter the conversation. The level of customer service was awful, nearly nonexistent. Upon speaking with the branch manager, Liz, we were treated the same. Liz talked over my husband as he was asking questions, trying to explain how we had been treated. He asked "Are we not the customer?" to which Liz replied, "Yes, but that doesn't mean you are right." After this we called the corporate number and a woman named Sandra was actually very helpful. She listened to our concerns and although I don't know if she will be able to do anything for us, she was cordial and offered the only customer service we received from Amerifirst.

This entire process has cost us 4 months of our time and we are out $850 in appraisals, not to mention we are currently still without a home. Please do not use Amerifirst, they do not treat their customers well; they over-promise and under-deliver.

We did a 203K Mortgage, this company assigned a HUD consultant who they described as someone to protect us and the GC, he approved bad quality work and released $40000 to the GC, we eventually terminated the GC and Amerifirst renovation manager helped us get the rest if the project dine. She was the only good part of the process, we are out 40000 and our roof and siding need replaced, another HUD consultant found issue after issue.

Be aware, do not allow them to release funds to a GC until you are 100% satisfied with the work, 2 years later and attorney fees on top of the last money, will likely get judgement but the GC is in over head in debt. They don't care, they are getting the monthly payment from us.

Awful Experience from the Get GO!

I am not even sure where to begin. First they send me a refund check from my escrow when I purchased my home saying it had been over paid.

I called insurance company and Amerifirst. I was told to keep it. One year later... escrow account is suddenly unbalance now I owe the funds.

When I remind them everyone told me to keep it, they suddenly say oh no we told you to send it back remember. No I don't because you didn't. I would have sent it back. Flash forward another year, I have taken a significant pay cut ( four digits) and am starting to have some difficulty with paying on time.

So I send partial payments... point is I am paying. They started refusing my checks and sending them back... What business on this planet refuses money??

One that wants to go out of business I presume. They say oh we can't accept partial payments.( Meanwhile you have been accepting my partial payments for almost a year at this point.) "We aren't set up for that".... what??? I can get a square for my IPhone and accept partial payments.

I am not buying their scare tactics. They call all hours of the day and during the weekends harassing my husband (who works nights) even though I have requested they call only me. They are looking for their money.. the money I sent but was refused because it wasn't all of it.

By the time we get to this point, it would have been all of the payment . They are holding $600 dollars of a partial payment though because I guess someone in accounting forgot that they don't accept them. I have been so disappointed with this company. I regret everyday that I chose to keep them.

I couldn't refinance now even if I wanted to. I just hope my experience will prevent someone else from going through this.

Please do not bother with this lender. They do not care about you and lack common sense.

We may have options to assist you in getting through this difficult financial period. You also mentioned partial payments. Payments cannot be applied to the mortgage payment until a complete mortgage payment is received. We would like to get more information as to what you are trying to accomplish with the partial payments and we can help you to achieve the desired results.

For instance, if the partial payments are to help you get caught up, we can review your financial situation and possibly establish a repayment for you if eligible. Or if you are trying pay down your mortgage faster, we can help you plan for that as well.

I am a Realtor and this lender "steals" clients with his promises- then gives to other real estate agents. I am the listing agent on a townhouse project in Mesa.

My investor was cool with my marketing and I have really just started getting revved up. Mark Taylor Team came in and swooped my client and now my listings may be cancelled so my Investor can work with someone on Mark Taylor's team. Good luck! Thank goodness I have a contract and the investor will owe no matter what!

Geez.... Real estate agents...do not buy into lenders...this one is a LIAR!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry you've had a bad experience with an "AmeriFirst." However, the company you've named is not the AmeriFirst Home Mortgage at www.amerifirst.com We are a mortgage banker located in Michigan and licensed in states mostly in the eastern U.S. We are not licensed in Arizona, so the AmeriFirst of which you speak is not AmeriFirst Home Mortgage.

Again, I am sorry for your bad experience. Not all lenders are bad!
