This Company takes advantage of Native Americans, African Americans, elderly,
They insisted we pay them up front. On moving day, a truck of men pulled up.
No one spoke English. We let them in to look at our items. The man in charge pointed to the truck, they went out. I assumed they were getting paperwork.
We waited inside, it was a hot Texas day. They left! I called American Standard, they said the gut told them my husband yelled at them. My husband is deaf, he talks loud, but he only talked to me.
He asked me what was going on. Well, two senior citizens loaded a truck that day in the hot Texas sun.
My husband had already had a stroke, many since that day. American Standards refused to refund our money.

Bait and Switch
I contacted this company along with about five others to gather a 10x20 storage unit from San Diego to Tucson. I chose this firm as being competitively priced (not the lowest) and helpful representation initially.
Their first mover to show up tripled the price, the second mover to show up doubled the price.
I have attempted communication with this company via email and certified mail, absolutely no response.
My filings thus far include regulating boards FMCSA, DOT, and BBB... wish me luck.

They are a scam
DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!! They told me I would be getting a moving company that would bring boxes and special packing for large pictures, beds, mirrors and tvs.
They told me the cost was going to cover 10 months of storage. When the guys showed up in a run down moving van, they had nothing and also told me I was only getting one month. They had nothing, I was supposed to have everything. We asked them to leave.
We didn't use them, but I still got charged for the service. Trying to fight the credit card company.

As you read in previous reviews this company will contract one price and then charge you another when they come to move you. they charged me 2500.00 more when they got there to load up after i had sold more than half my stuff that was in invitory i contracted with them, price should of dropped since less furniture was being moved.
instead went up 2500 over original contract. tried to cancell but they refuse to give back deposit. You would be really foolish to ever use this company for anything that they offer.... their customer service people really stink as far as help is concerned.
Also i have a damage claim filed for my tv they destroyed and grill they dropped and 90 days later have yet to get any settlement. be wary of this sorry pathetic company...h

I don't want others to be scammed the way they scammed me
Do not ever use this company. They quoted me a $ and took my $1k deposit.
When they showed up (10 hours LATE) to move my things they said it would cost 4x more than what they estimated it would cost. It was literally going to cost me 6.5 THOUSAND dollars MORE than they quoted me and they expected me to PAY THAT.
Because I couldn't pay that ridiculous amount they kept my deposit saying we had a CONTRACT.
This company is the WORST. DON'T EVER TRUST THEM!

Absolutely do not use
I was quoted under a binding contract for $3865.34 through American Standard Moving. Upon delivery, I was informed I owed an additional $954.
They run a very deceptive business and have absolutely no problem lying to you to get a non-refundable deposit. Theyve had 53 BBB complaints filed in the last 12 months for the same deceptive practices. I've filed a complaint with the better business bureau, the federal trade commission and the Florida state attorney's office. More complaints are coming.
These people need to be put out of business. Once they get here with their additional charges and you can't pay, they hold your belongings hostage for extra fee. If this isn't illegal it should be. I implore you to investigate this company.
