Warning to buyers

Purchased the ARROB 5 years ago, and it is absolute garbage! Within a year, the enamal finish flaked off badly everywhere. Oven and broiler igniters last 6-12 months tops. Have replaced both at least 5 times each at ~$120+ a piece. Oven heat fluctuates by 30 degrees above and below set temp. Top burners are weak. Had to replace the oven burner due to cracks. Ive been 50+ years in the kitchen. And this is the worst appliance, bar none, Ive ever used. Paid over $4,000. And not worth a tenth of that. Just a terrible, terrible range.

I understand why people have given up on American brands!!! One can be easily fooled by their good looks, but like every single piece of equipment, its totally flawed from the ground up!!! Engineering is non existent, lemons is what theyre selling.

I own a restaurant and purchased a $3,000 lava rock grill AECB-24 24" Heavy Duty Charbroiler from American Range and only used the unit for 90 days before it totally broke down. The crates that hold the lava rocks have broken all up and the frame that holds lower crates is burnt out in sections so the whole frame of unit is bad.

We normally use the Atosa lava rock grill (as it is about 1/3 the price) but we purchased this unit for the so-called heavy duty that it claims to be. We contacted the Warrant Service unit, a guy named Alfred, responds with the following: "This is unfortunate, I am afraid this is a non-warranty. The reason this happened is simple; these units are not designed to use too much lava rock.

This is the result of using too much rock. You are supposed to use only one loose layer of rock, the rock is there to evenly distribute the heat and to prevent

flare-ups.

If this is not done, then what happens is a barrier is created and instead of the heat rising, the heat is blocked. This will cause damage to the following;

Burner box, Bottom Grates, Burners, Gas valves, knobs and the list goes on.

Regardless, we want to help, I have attached the parts breakdown for this unit, please"

They never responded back with any solutions, they never owned up to their garbage product and the scam warranty service they claim to have.

What a total waste of money on this garbage product. Its a shame for a company with this reputation to have such a subpar product and subpar service.

you are a joke! Read the rest of the reviews on this company. I am not the only one talking about their garbage products and garbage service and so-called warranty. I thought I was the only one, and found out that everyone had the same *** experience.

What a joke.

I went a purchased a descent grill from a company that STANDS by their products, not this type of garbage. Sorry to hear that you defend these type of products, find another job.

It looks like the warranty doesn't cover user incompetence. You suck at using a grill and following instructions. It's too bad your restaurant (if you even have one) isn't disclosed or I'd give you a 1 star for no reason too.

What a waste of money! Garbage quality and garbage service. Plenty of other more superior brands and better service.

Its not about yiu, its about a company that does not respect proper business practices, a company that does not own up to the quality of its own garbage products! Its warranty is a scam!

And for the note, my restaurant employs 50 employees grossing $5 Million and 25 years experience.. So who the *** are you to judge me?!! I purchased hundreds of thusands worth of equioment over the years.

What more do you need? the unit didnt last 3 damn months, its garbage that the only detail left out. Not only is the product garbage so is their warranty service which is garbage. A proper company lives up to their reputation, and owns their product quality.

The only thing left out is the company's confidence in their *** products. If they had the slightest professionalism they would have given solutions, or at least subsidized the cost of repair for their subpar product... that's what has been left out. What do you need me to put more photos of their *** product or a copy or the invoice which is worth nothing?!?

Second of all, who the *** are you to judge me if you are truly not an agent of this company?? for your information, I have over 150 employees and gross sales of over $15 million with more than 25 years of experience.

I have purchased tens of kitchen equipment, dozens of brands and millions of dollars worth of equipment, and without a doubt that this has been the worst and most horrible experience, and only exemplifies the enlightened management which decided to lose good customers for the sake of not owning up to their warranty which is considered a word of honor in the business world. This is why this product, service and warranty can only be described as garbage, and that is where I will throw away their garbage grill, in the trash, and purchase another one from a reputable company.

36" ARR636-L Range Caught on Fire

I'd never heard of American Ranges before. The 36" range came with the home.

We've owned it for 3 years and have had multiple issues. Yesterday the range caught on fire. The fire was located inside the *** compartment. We shutoff the gas to range but the fire continued.

We called the fire department to help put out the fire. I called American Range this morning to report the safety issue and ask about the warranty. They wouldn't even talk with me because I didn't have the invoice. They also said that after 2-years they don't cover any repairs.

I'm now stuck with having to replace a 3-year old range at a cost of about 6k. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from American Ranges.

PS.

I've already had to replace the igniter as other reviews have mentioned. They're junk.

We bought an ARR606GDGRDF-N, and it has been an absolute nightmare since that piece of garbage was installed on 7/8/22. Non stop calls and emails to customer service for well over a month.

We wanted it removed and a refund on 7/29/22, but they slow walked the service 41 days later and now refuse to refund and remove. The worthless CEO Shane Demirjian is a clown show himself and it is evident the rest of the employees are clowns as well. We live within 30 minutes of their factory in Las Vegas and had the worst experience ever. We gave them a shot at putting a range from them in our home kitchen before changing out our 6 restaurants equipment.

They failed big time by first sending out pure garbage and expecting a customer to tolerate their laziness. We are counting our blessings that we did not enter an agreement with these scam artists to outfit our restaurants. Imagine us telling customers and our staff to be patient for 40 plus days because our *** equipment from American Range doesn't work. I can't see them being around much longer running a business like that, right into the ground.

Horrible customer service and a horrible business model. Stay far away from these ***

Ignitors are junk

I have a 36 inch gas American range oven over the last 3 years i have had to replace the oven ignitors 4 times. The service / parts dept are horrible to deal with and want to charge you full price for defective parts. I have one more ignitor and will replace it and try and sell this piece of junk, do yourself a favor buy your range from anyone but American Range

Unhappy

In February 2020 I purchased a 36" American Range. In November 2020 the oven was not working properly and the thermostat was replaced. In June 2022 the oven again did not work. It was the thermostat again. Since July 12 when the repairman looked at the oven and supposedly ordered a new thermostat. It is now July 16th and still no working oven. I am being told that the parts department is not responding to efforts to get the part. If I had it to do over again I would not purchase this appliance again because of the poor service on repairs.D

Defective range top

I bought a range top and one of the burners never worked. The technician came over 5 times to fix it to no avail. I am getting dead silence now because they cant fix it and they dont want to exchange it. I would never buy a product from them and Im contemplating suing them in small claims court.

For the three years I have had my wall ovens. In that three years, two years the ovens have not worked and probably will never work properly. I spend so much money on these wall ovens. They sent us panels to change out because it would not cook even. Then both heat elements broke (repair man said it was because they have terrible wiring connections). It took them TWO years to get us the parts and it now cooks uneven again. This is the biggest scam company I have ever worked with.

I bought my American Range two years ago and have had nothing but problems with it, Every 6 months my ignitors burn out. The first couple of times because it was under Warrantee they covered the parts, but good luck in any kind of help now.

I am a chef and my business is a coffee shop and outside catering. I have lost so many hours, business and money just waiting around for parts. The Customer Service which usually is the same person over and over again does nothing about the lemon I have. Even though the problems started from the beginning they say they can not help us because it is out of warrantee.

I would really love to start a class action against this company

The pilot light does not stay lit

I have a 36" gas American Range. I have had several issues with this stove. Currently, the repair man was at my home on 10/24/20 and to date, 12/28/20, my stove still isn't working. We are still waiting for parts. Thankfully, I purchased the extended warranty but even that is about to run out in March. If I could sell this stove, which I am going to try and do after it is fixed, I would never buy another one from American Range. The company never sends the parts out in a timely manner. The parts never seem to hold up when they are replaced. I have gone through two holidays this year without an oven. This is very stressful and totally unacceptable.
