I have some issues with this company. Their sales rep cam out and conducted a walk though of an existing alarm system in my residence.
The previous owner had been using them and I, the new home owner, was interested in having the system powered up and converted into my name. They are trying to charge me almost $600 now for a "System Upgrade" due to items they could not rectify during the installation. This is a HUGE shock never mind the HUGE cost increase to correct an already existing system.
I am really disturbed and feel like I am being taken advantage of. These items that you now want to upgrade should have been noticed at the time of walk through.

Hi, Does anyone know what is going on with American Alarm Company? I called all of their contacts number and they are out of service.
I paid over $1000 for a 3 years service though Monitronics and now Monitronics said they they cannot monitor my alarm service anymore. Monitronics claims that American Alarm went into a contract default. If you know anything about this please let others know. I made a mistake of paying upfront for the alarm service.
I wonder what will happen now if American Alarm Company is out of business. Does anyone have any idea?
Please advice me of what to do. I appreciate it very much

well i am in cleveland and the company was sold to guardian alarm out of mich and all of there accounts and equipment was bought but they are going back and then suing old customers to get money what a shame they are criminally doing this im getting a lawyer
