I paid in advance on a promise that I would receive a Joshua MK5. I never got one and got shafted out of $1200.00. I hope wherever Ryan Kraft is, he is suffering from a severe toothache and painful hemmrhoids.

Amendment Arms sold the manufacturing of a rifle to me as a work in progress, be patient, it will happen. It never did and one time during late 2015 I was able to speak to the manager Tom Wise. He told me to follow up with this fellow Ryan.

I have a total of $1300.00 invested and paid an additional amount for some updating. The website is still up but no one answers the phone or responds to mail, so obvious I and who knows how many others have been taken for a ride, a costly one, with no good results.

These crooks use the Bible with the Joshua name, well, may God strike them as hard as He can.

I am also a victim of the Amendment Arms scam. As I've looked around I've found that Ryan Croft has pulled scams in the past as well - Amendment Arms is not the first scam he has done.

He is also onto his next scam.

In any case, I'm looking to invite people to share their experiences and information about Ryan Croft & Co at https://ryancroftscams.wordpress.com/. Why would you spend over $1000. On a gun promoted to be a cheap solution to the ar15?

The whole idea was arms for the people. The gun should be around the price of an ak47.

Ripped off by Amendmend Arms

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I ordered a Joshua MK5 rifle on Jan. 25,2013 and paid $1013.45.

The full price for the rifle. They then sent out an updated new barrel option for the rifle, so I paid another $160. for the upgrade.

Never received any thing from them, I called and talked to Rayn said it would be shipped in 30 days this was Nov.

2014. Never was shipped, later they had reported suppliers were behind on getting their parts to them. In Feb. 2015, their come out with more upgrades so I ordered them also for another $540.

Shortly after that I talked to Ryan and he said mine was in the new group. Then never heard anymore !!!

Here I have a signed contract thats not worth nothing. Any suggestion?

Amendment Arms....RUN do not walk AWAY from this company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was one of the first 50 purchasers of the Joshua Mk 5 in 2013 based in part from a review from Tim Brown. Unfortunately, it was a case of "too good to be true". Over the next three plus years, I kept getting delays...excuses....but NEVER my PAID IN FULL rifle.

The Crofts intimated that Tom Wise was fired for embezzlement, but that said, the Crofts are no longer replying to emails or phone calls....and based on other "victims" comments are now trying to evade being served for small claims court.

Their website is STILL ACTIVE....but DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING from them. You WILL LOSE your money.

Ripped of by Amendment Arms

Ordered a Joshua MK 5 with the 1-8 twist ($160 extra). Received a rifle with the standard barrel 1-7 twist instead (per 2 separate gunsmiths).

Very disappointing in that I waited almost 2 years for it to get ripped off by them. Not to mention the packaging issues when I received it.It looks like they are out of business. Ryan's mistake was trusting tom to run the business (into the ground)while he (told me) he kept a hands off approach to running his own company, and waited too long to try to turn things around.Considering all this Amendment Arms probably did not deserve to survive.I talked to Ryan 6 months ago about the issue and was given a bunch of excuses.I wonder how many other customers did not get the match barrel they paid for.I will never again order a product from a new company starting out with no current product to sell.

Big mistake!! Shame on you Amendment Arms.

Another MK5 never delivered

My $890.00 has gone the way of disappearing as apparently so has Ryan Croft. My Joshua MK5 rifle was ordered and paid for over two years ago but only excuses given as to why no delivery.

Several phone calls and texts went unanswered until a pm on facebook from Croft saying they were doing the best they could, had moved, equipment lost, etc.

It is especially upsetting that Laura and Ryan Croft presented themselves as "Christians" having used the name for the rifle from the Bible and other biblical references. The best I can offer at this point is "Caveat Emptor".

Afraid I lost $890

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I paid $890 for the Joshua MK5 in January 2013 with the expectation that it would be delivered in May 2013. The contract also specified that if a customer paid the full amount when ordering, then the customer would get a $40 rebate each year for 5 years ($200 total). I emailed to find out more info on the $200 trigger upgrade and to ask why I did not receive a rebate last year. It seems they have many upgrades from barrels, triggers, grips, finish, etc., that they are trying to sell. It's like they are saying that the current rifle is not a good product and if you really want a good gun, you should pay them $1,100 more. The General Manager, Tom Wise, told me that my rifle is about to ship in the next 30-45 days (I've heard that before), and that I need to pay $98.45 taxes and $65 for shipping. The contract specifies the shipping is anticipated to be $20 for parcel post and $40 for priority mail.

Here is his answer on the trigger upgrade: "The optional Trigger Job is a polishing process. I can have Ryan call and explain it to you better if you like." But now Ryan is too busy to call because they have a rush this week. I only asked what the pull weight is and nobody can answer that.

Here is his answer on the rebates: "The rebates are delayed until we have better cash flow. All our money is in production right now."

Here is his answer on shipping costs: "Sorry, Thomas, we don't have $20 or $40 options anymore. We were losing money on the shipping, and we're not making anything as it is. Thanks for understanding."

Since then, I received a couple of apologetic emails from Rebecca Croft and she said they wouldn't be sending any refunds out before Aug 2015. It is now September 2015, and I still haven't received a refund or a reply to my emails since June 2015.

I'm surprised to see their website is still up and it has been updated with some professional looking pictures. But that just means that they are still taking money from people.

Next step: Small claims court.

It's March 2016, over three years since I ordered and paid for the Joshua Mk 5 rifle and still no response from Amendment Arms since last spring. I came across an article written by a man named Tim Brown and he claims to be "an affiliate for the Joshua Mk 5 rifle." I wrote to him and he said he would pass my complaint to Ryan Croft but after 4 months, no response from either Tim Brown or Ryan Croft. Definitely a rip off company.

One month later, still no replies from Amendment Arms from my emails to them.

Amendment arms inc is a scam Ryan croft has been stealing money for years from people for this project and lots of us paid in and have nothing to show for it but empty wallets!

I paid over 1000 dollars for a Joshua rifle a year ago and have nothing to show for it after researching Ryan croft I found numerous people across numerous fields and industries that he has ran similar scams in the past! You know its bad when you call random manufacturers in close proximity and they all have horror stories to tell you! Buyer beware I want people to understand that they need to be very suspicious of this guy I was at a gun show in Greenville sc last week and found lots of people that had complaints about Ryan and no one that has anything good to say.

my Joshua is a piece of *** Tom. You and Ryan hurt many people financially and have sold a weapon that is a liability.

Guest

I was involved with ryan on a bulk silver purchase that he was putting together a couple years back. When it became public knowledge that Ryan had scammed, conned, or stolen our money from us a few people that loudly complained about it on a few websites finally had there money returned to them.

Most of us did not however. I was in the group that never recovered any of their money. We are not alone he got many people and not only on the silver deal. Since then we keep hearing horror stories from others that he has taken on various schemes.

I do not know anything about the joshua Rifle good or bad but we know Ryan Croft and everything he touches turns to ***.

I would advise everyone to stay away from any product or Business that he is directly involved with. Its a good thing his wife has a good job in the medical field or he wouldnt even have a roof over his head.

Guest

That's great t pain tom is slime ball too, everyone says he gives them the creeps! I hope it does work out for you and everyone that ordered a rifle.

The fact remains Ryan is a shady guy that has bilked many people for many years. In fact a whole group of people rose money to get him out of trouble not too long ago. Before that he yanked a whole group of people out of money from all over wnc in a bulk silver purchase! The people that made a stink about it on the internet by saying exactly what happened got their money back.

Many others in the deal did not! This is just the tip of the iceberg and attention should be paid by all. Ryan now lives off his wife while continuing to yank people's chains on everything from *** tv shows to any other idea that he might can steal someone's money on!

Even the early investors kept having the price go up and many have fled because of constantly needing more money! It's great that he's got 20 rifles almost ready maybe if he makes this work him and Tom will refund some of the people Ryan's screwed over the years!

Guest

I'm a customer of Amendment Arms and I'm waiting for delivery of my MK5. I have had no problems keeping in touch with them regarding the progress.

I understood from the get go that it will take time to get things going. They sent out emails notifying us when they realized the delays they were facing. In that email they outlined the refund policy for anyone that couldn't weather the delay clearly. I've emailed their general manager, Tom Wise, a few times regarding the status and he has responded promptly every time.

I find the complaining here to be suspicious. What they're saying doesn't make any sense.

So here's my review:

I chose to pay, in full, up front with the spirit of helping these guys realize their dream.

In return, I get a bad *** rifle made in the USA at a great price. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Guest

You are right Gerald and close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades! Ryan is a pathetic person!

He actually thinks we should legalize all the Mexicans here illegally!

He says it's the only way to combat Muslim extremists! What a looser!

Guest

This Joshua Mkv looks to be a blatant copy of the definitive arms Ak conversion! Maybe they will sue this bunch of losers!

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-778496

The MK5 is milled from scratch in North Carolina. Definitive Arms does conversion, much like the MK1 in our earlier videos.

The MK5 is therefore an improvement, as they say in the patent world. Perhaps Definitive got their idea from Ryan, who knows?

Excuse me, but...

No one who has purchased a rifle from Amendment Arms has ever been "scammed." Every purchaser signs a contract detailing the terms, which are known before signing. Every person who has purchased according to the terms and asked for a refund, according to the terms, has received a refund, no questions asked.

The rifle has been delayed by Obama scares, supplier shortfalls, and just plain design work, but we are close to delivery now. We keep a running blog online, and we keep all our customers informed on a pretty regular basis.

These comments here come as a surprise to me. I am the general manager at Amendment Arms, Tom Wise, and you can call me direct with complaints at 828-676-****.

On a personal note, I don't appreciate the corporation which I have worked hard to build with integrity being slammed to the ground with baseless accusations. The corporation is NOT out of business, and the rifle IS a real product.

Sorry if any of this sounded screechy, but it burns me to hear people say that our customers are being duped or that the Joshua is not a real firearm.

"Received a refund"..the "a" is what changes the meaning of your statement. I requested my money back and received $200..the contract clearly states "refunds will be mailed 14 days from receipt of such written refund request".

It took a month just to get 200$!!

Stop excepting money and complete what customers paid for that is how you show integrity, but I don't think that will happen. You wrote in Jan that you all were close to delivery...nothing still.

Guest

The contract is worthless to the buyer. They do not stand behind their contract unless it benefits themselves.

The weapon is a piece of *** and a waste of your money. If I knew then what I know now, I would have purchased from another source. The weapon was received in bad condition. I have purchased much older systems that were in better condition and shot better.

I may just use it for parts or something else.

Now I will answer every charge here:

(1) The person who said, "Now I'm told if I want a refund I have to do it by certified mail"

Untrue. You have only to contact me and I will send you a Refund Request Form if you have waited the contractual waiting time. Return signed by mail and you get your refund. I defy you to produce any such demand for a certified letter.

(2) The website referenced as "www.combativestraininggroup.com/forum/ak-rifles/check-this-out"

This came out when we first offered the Joshua, last January 2013. I have news for you. At least one of those authors is a customer now.

(3) The person who said, "people complain about him (Ryan Croft)"

You may not be aware that Ryan's speeches involve eating mice, insects, worms, and algae. Complaints are generally from the squeamish.

(4) The person who said, "Good luck. Im sure if enough people get together there is a potential for a class action law suit"...

will please refrain from slander. We write good contracts and we live up to our word.

(5) The person who said, "Ryan is known locally as a scammer always trying to work an angle. You guys are not the first and certainly will not be the last. I personally know an elderly couple he tried to *** money out of that luckily got wise to his scam."

All I can say is, wow. I work with Ryan every day, and he is both diligent and honest. He is also very passionate about what he does. There are no elderly people who have been conned out of any money by Amendment Arms.

(6) The person who said, "I actually talked to a Ryan Croft at a prepper show. He took my money and promised a rifle in several months. That show was several years ago and I have repeatedly tried to contact Mr. Croft. Him nor his company, amendment arms, has ever answered or replied. Beware of this sham artist and his shell company taking your money."

Who are you? If you have tried to contact the corporation in the past 14 months, you would have reached me. Call me at 676-**** and we will determine a correct course for you.

(7) The person who said, "This rifle is over-priced and certainly not worth the trouble you seem to have had. Get yourself any of a number of rifles in the AR15 style for alot less money."

The Joshua is not overpriced at 895, which is where most people purchased, or even 1095, the current price. The Joshua is NOT an AR platform but AK, using AR magwell, 5.56/.223, milled receiver made in good ol' Arden NC, proprietary picatinny-compliant rails, and more. It's a hybrid.

Sorry if any of this sounded screechy, but it burns my apples to hear people say that our customers are being duped or that the Joshua is not a real firearm.

One more comment on the original poster. If you have a complaint about a contract, you can call me, Tom Wise, at our phone number. You ought to know that I am in charge of all such things. Why call random manufacturers when you can just call me?

I advise also that everyone be suspicious of every claim made by any company, but this much is true: every customer signs a contract, plain language. We have super terms, such as $20 down, take as long as you like to pay. We try hard to be as good to our customers as possible.

The only thing anyone can really complain about is that we haven't delivered on time, according to the 3-month contractual waiting period (or 6 months, depending when you came in). For this, we apologize, and we deeply appreciate all of the support and patience of our great customers!

Admendment Arms Joshua MK5

Buyer Beware!

My son gave cold hard cash for the Joshua rifle ( http://amendmentarmsinc.com/ ) to be delivered in August-September. No delivery. Every phone call and e-mail was answered the same-- going out next week. As of Dec-31 still no rifle and a promise - it's scheduled to go out next week or tomorrow.

Requested a refund as contract states and apparently they don't have the money to give him the refund. Looks like he will have to go to small claims court to get any money back.

I would only use CC to purchase from these guys. At least you will have some protection in case of non-delivery.

After my son's experience, I personally would not do business with this company.

Amendment Arms BEWARE!!

Apparently I'm not the only one who has waited patiently for a product that does not seem that will never be completed, six months after payment I requested a refund. My gut instinct told me that no one would set up a business model this bad by accepting people's money and continue to accept money and still cannot seem to come up with a completed project.

After requesting a refund I waited a month and heard nothing from them. Is that not plenty of time to give someone? After contacting them again I received a check in the mail for 200$...stating they are "short this month". The refund amount is suppose to be 1013.45!!!

If a company cannot issue a full refund this makes me question just exactly what type of business practice is going on here because money is going in but no product or the ability to issue a full refund is going out. I must admit I feel duped but I will not lie down or roll over or pray that I will get money back.

A paper and legal trail must be left behind so no else has to go through this. If anything Amendment Arms needs to be encouraged to produce a more sound and professional business model.

Going through much the same. Would not recommend doing business with this company.

The contract isn't worth the paper it's written on. Think the people who are not getting the gun or money back will have to get together and file a class action suit against them just to get something out of it.

On May 30, you were kind enough to work out with us the ability to pay you back over a short period of time. We appreciate that.

Tom Wise wrote on June 4th 2014 - We are now in production and will be caught up with fully-paid customers in 90-120 days. 90 to 120 days would be Sept or Oct 2014.

Todays date is March 2nd 2015 and I HAVE NOT received my gun yet.

I have been fully paid since Jan 15th 2013. I hope I haven't been suckered but my hope is fading fast.

The 120 days came and went and still no money or gun. The only thing we are missing out on is our hard earned money.

Even if we get a gun out of this the way you honor your contracts no way we can trust you for fixing any kind of problems that show up.

We would send the gun to get it fixed and maybe get back 2 or 3 years later!
