Electronic fee charged twice
The Worst Customer Service I Have Ever Seen !!
You will be on hold for 1-2 hours if you have a billing problem. Even if you are trying to renew with them expect the same wait period.
They only have one 800 number you can call. Was also charged some mysterious 199.00 Early cancellation fee when I did not early terminate. I dont know if I will ever work this out with them. On my second hour being on hold.
I can promise I dam shure will change when my contract really does expire. Also if you go to the person that signed you up on this crap they cant do a dam thing for you. Tell you to call the 800 number and camp out all day.

As if this isn’t bad enough, I contacted the BBB and reported the issue to which there was ANOTHER argument, again got my complex involved for help as my family and I were homeless and lost everything. Someone from your company called me last week to tell me that they were having trouble reaching me at my address and wanted to make sure they had the correct one. I asked what was being sent to me and to where because I’ve updated everything online AND on the phone with you guys. The associate informed me you guys have been sending everything to my flooded/unlivable apartment and then assured me it was confirmation that my account was in good standing and had been resolved.
Today, I received a bill from a collection agency for $100 for the entire month I was homeless FROM HURRICANE HARVEY. When our county/city/state was declared a disaster and we did not live in that unit. Not only did your company lie to me and refuse to accept proof of what was going on you reported me to a credit bureau before FEMA even finished evaluating my case. What about the THOUSANDS of people who couldn’t even call to explain their situation are you still charging for these units?
Seems like complete incompetence on YOUR END and taking extreme advantage of your customers when they need help the most. No? Did I mention I was a loyal on time paying customer for five years?
And I have now received a second notice from collections again for a month that I was MANDATORY EVACUATED FROM MY INHABITABLE APARTMENT AND I CALLED YOU GUYS IN THE WHOLE MESS OF IT TO HAVE THE POWER SHUT OFF. ***.
Very Happy with Service
I have been an Ambit Energy customer for over a year. It's amazing how much I have personally saved - just in the KWH rate. They have been an excellent find for my needs. And I have thanked my friend for sharing this with me.
I don't know what everyone is complaining about - No problems here with notices from the company for renewals. They have been very honest and upfront. I have never had any issues. And I am now well into my 2nd year as a satisfied customer.
I love the fact there are no cancellation fees, no enrollment fees, etc.
I hate it when people are not honest and tell the truth.

I booked my weekend getaway way in advance and had to wait 30 days before I would here from them again! I got an email saying that all of their hotels were book in Atlanta!
That was a lie because I called around different hotels in Atlanta and there was plenty of availability. I called ambit getaway customer service and they said their allotment was filled. A bunch of bull *** This ambit free weekend getaway is a joke! They are playing with people’s time and money.
I put in time from work for this trip and I had to come out of pocket for my hotel stay! Warning don’t believe the hype!
Ambit is lying to their customers! I just witnessed this for myself today!

Fantastic Vacation in Lake Tahoe at the Ridge Tahoe
A friend and I used 45000 points to go to Reno Nevada/Lake Tahoe for 7 nights/ 8 days, January 2018. The accomodation were first class!
We had the largest suite (2 bedrooms/ 2 full bath, a WELL appointed kitchen, living room & dining room. These obviously were owners accomodations. The rooms had every conceivable thing that we could need (from corkscrew, dirty clothes hamper, a blender of margaritas, to a hand cake mixer - if you wanted to make a cake... I mean everything - pyrex dishes, pots, pans everything).
The resort had limited eateries onsite, with limited times. However there was a free shuttle (every hour) to take you in town to Heavenly Village, for skiing, shopping, eateries, supermarket, casinos, snowmobiling, ice skating, etc). The view from our suite was heavenly! Two of my friends had never gone on a winter vacation.
They are now hooked on the snow, skiing and sitting outside around fire pits!
Not to mention, you could go skiing on site at the resort, snow shoeing, to the movies (2 per day), spa services, etc. EVERYTHING WAS SEAMLESS WHEN WE GOT TO THE RESORT, FROM START TO FINISH!

Ambit Travel Rewards are a joke!
Posted this last month as a comment. thought I'd repost it to ask if anyone has had success with Ambit's Travel Rewards Program. Thus far, all that I have seen is disappointment by friends and myself when trying to "cash in" these points. Not to say that you can't use the points. My point is that there is no true FREE flights, hotels, etc. without some strings attached. By the time one uses the points, books a trip, etc. he/she has spent the same or more than they would have on their own. Can any REAL person, who's not a Consultant of Ambit's, please let me know which package, if any, actually worked in their favor?

I am a customer of Ambits since 2007. The rate for electricity is average but their "Travel Rewards" are a joke. In 2007 they had gas cards and grocery vouchers that looked nice. Those were taken away and they only kept the air fare and vacation packages. I called my travel agent and got a 1 week trip, including airfare, to Cozumel for $710 a person at an all inclusive 5 star resort. Ambits free airfare is only applicable if you stay at one of their selected hotels wich range upwards of $160 a night for a minimum of 7 days. Their Cancun package, etc. does not include airfare and is only at Grand Incentives hotels. These are not all inclusive and by the time fees, deposits, etc are appplied you've spent the same amount or more than I have just using a travel agent. Not to mention the dates are somewhere between September through February, you have to request 90 days ahead of time, etc. What a joke! Just bring back the REAL incentives like gas cards and grcery vouchers with no strings attached. I have 68,000 points with Ambit and they are good for nothing!
Worst Program Ever!!! What a Waste of Time
This turned out to be the worst program offer I have ever had and I "am not happy". Program ending this year (okay).
Lied to about being able to use 2 certificates for a Spa/Golf Getaway by a rep --when website says you can't use two certificates back to back or within a 12 month period.. (not okay!) Have to wait 45 days at least to submit 3 choices of locations (okay, but sure would have been nice to know this little tidbit up front)... requires a deposit (okay).. but only with my personal checking account information to debit my account (absolutely not okay!) We should be allowed to do this with a credit card, Ambit - Grand Incentives!
I do not go around handing out my personal bank account information to anyone like that. Had to wait until the end of February billing cycle to even get a final # of points accrued. So many people are trying to use these points to be able to complete travel by the end of this year, I probably wouldn't get the choices I wanted anyway, would I?? I am so angry that as soon as my contract expires, I absolutely "WILL NOT" RENEW WITH AMBIT!
Ambit can stick their points where the sun doesn't shine... what a ruse.

Preferred solution: Revert my bill caculated on the 7cent per kilowatt hour that it was originally on and I will pay it. I have already paid nearly $1400 and will not pay another dime. I am well known in this town. Do it or I will call the media with this story.Not kidding
