Verified ReviewerIncredible cost of minor repair
- - Inside the T Handle is a square socket that turns the rod.
- - Replacement costs $195 total.
- - You must buy a whole kit with extra, unused parts.
Inside the T Handle that opens the garage door there is a square socket that holds the rod that turns to open the door. That small piece with the handle and lock cylinder would cost me $195.00 to replace because you can't just buy the part that is broken.
$150 for the kit and $35 for shipping.
You have to buy a whole kit with all the other parts that you don't need. Once it breaks you realize that this crucial socket should not be made of some cast metal due the force that turning the rod which pulls the cables releasing the locks puts on it.
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Don't buy an Amarr door
