Misleading Sponsored advertising on Facebook!

Beware of Alya Skincare products

I was watching a video on Facebook the other day and during the video a sponsor ad for Alya Skin appeared. It showed a young man (one of the faces behind the product) saying if you order anything from them they would throw in a box of their products free for a limited time!

Naturally seeing many praises on the fact they are vegan etc l thought why not, l could give this to my daughters.

Well l purchased and after paying it surprised me to see no mention of the box as promised in their sponsored advertising was even mentioned. So l took the liberty to message them to confirm the extra box would be included in the post.

The reply was we have no such promotion running then they asked me to send them a link to the sponsored ad that played over the video! Are they serious?! The algorithms on Facebook rotate advertising that is sponsored and since in the video the guy said limited offer the sponsor ad may had run just the once!

I find it offensive that an Australian owned company can put the onus on their customers to prove they ran a promotion in the first place!

I clicked the link on their sponsored ad ONLY because of the great offer! And l am sure many others had done so also!

Normally I am clued on if theres something scammy going on, but l honestly thought this was a highly reputable business. It appears after now doing Google searches they are anything but!

They might have a good product but their customer loyalty begs to be questioned.

If anyone recalls seeing that particular sponsored video of the guy holding the box saying they are giving the products as a bonus to any purchase please let me know in the comments below. I ordered on 19th Jan 2021.

To offer something then not honour it is very unAustralian in my books!
