What an absolute joke of a rescue. They gave me a kitten with distemper which sickened my other cats.
The rescue didn't find it important to inform me that the kitten's sibling had already died. I didn't find this out until i contacted them about my kitten being sick. The director didn't care at all that their negligence sickened my other animals. Their response....
*** happens". REALLY??!! This rescue needs shut down!!!
Adopt elsewhere. This rescue cares only about the money and not the animals.

I advise you all to do a little research before spouting such slander on the internet. Ann Marie is a wonderful woman who spends all of her time saving dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens.
She does not believe in euthanizing any animal and works her butt off bringing very sick animals back to perfect health.
She gets many cats and puppies from the Livingston County Animal Shelter which has helped them out tremendously. She always makes sure the pets she adopts out are going to good loving homes and has sacrificed her time, money, house, and sometimes health in order to keep saving and helping those poor puppies and kittens that are victim to abuse.

The director of Always Hope, Ann Marie Hutchison, is a liar and a thief. She stole property and money from Last Chance Rescue.Animals fostered by her disappeared.She claimed they were adopted, but the names and addresses on the adoption contracts were fake.
She left euthanasia medication in Petsmart store, and the store said she would have to go or we would be thown out. She spread all sorts of lies about us and was trying to get our group shut down by reporting false information to animal control and the department of agriculture. She then formed Always Hope. And got thrown out of PetX store for again leaving euthanasia medication and syringes there in the store.
She then stole materials from Target Marketing, and spread lies about them.

First of all euthanasia medicine is highly documented and every cc has to be accounted for. Last Chance Rescue people tried to keep the directer of Always Hope on their board and were upset when she left and so they lashed out.
She didn't do anything. She didn't take any money or hurt any animals. You people are nuts.
I believe there are better ways to spend your time then lying on the internet and hiding behind your computer. She's a gem!!!!!

You would think a rescue would only adopt out fully vetted pets.They should have to be licensed.They should be checked up on and inspected regularly.You should take them to court and sue for all of your vet costs.You should put their name out there everywhere so people know this is not really a rescue but a for profit business.But just one thing I am curious about.......Did your other cats have an up to date distemper shot?Because if they did they should not have gotten sick.
OK people READ where this review came from...CALIFORNIA. They did NOT get a kitten from a rescue in Michigan.
Always Hope Animal Rescue does not do out-of-state adoptions so this review is not true. Plus I know first hand that they hold their puppies & kittens for 2 weeks to help ensure their health. Go on their FB page and read the reviews from people who REALLY adopted from them. There are tons of wonderful adoption pictures too.
Lots of pets going to wonderful homes. The director is honest and really cares about the animals AND the people who adopt from her.
