- - Bought a $30,000 2021 travel trailer from Altus RV Center; no battery, multiple issues fixed with $512.90 in parts, washer not repaired; as is.
They will lie to you to make a sale.
I asked Alisha, the sales person, if everything in the trailer worked. She assured me it did and said their shop people do a thorough inspection before a trailer is sold. I asked if the battery was good and again she said yes.
There was no battery. I had to buy one of my own for $100.00.
The commode would not shut off. I took the commode to them and they replaced the valve. The light over the table did not work so I replaced it. The water inlet leaked a constant dribble so I replaced the outlet.
Two lights over the recliners did not work, I replaced them. The fireplace did not work, in fact it was not even plugged in. So much for a thorough check. I plugged it in and it still does not work.
The total cost for parts to repair the fixtures that did not work is $512.90, and that does not include labor.
I offered the dealership a deal if they would just fix the washing machine i would do the rest. They would not return calls. Finally I went to Altus again and met with them in person.
They said they are not going to fix the washer, everything they sell is as is. Does as is count when you point out the lies the next day after the sale?
User's recommendation: Do not do business with these people. They will lie to you to make a sale then not stand behind their product.
